Think about it all who have seen Doctor Who what of the best sci fi character ever made (The Doctor) showed up in Mass Effect 3?  Personally I think the Reapers would have been screwed because the Doctor wouldn't go out of character when it matters like Bioware made Shepard do.

Also what do you think would happen to the Star Child?  I bet the Doctor would have shut him and his pathetic argument down.

How do you think Mass Effect 3 would turn out if the Doctor shows up
And saved the day

The doctor would have ajusted the crucible beam to only kill the reapers leaving the Geth and EDI alone

He also wouldn't walk straight into an explosion

The Doctor would have easily defeated the Reapers. They're just like Daleks, and look how many times he's beaten them!

The Doctor would have listened to the Catalyst explain itself, and talk about why Synthesis is so great. Then there would have been a sudden bang, The Doctor would have started glowing an eerie purple-ish hue with lines of fire and such coming out of him, and actually DEgenerate back to his 9th form. He'd explain that hearing something THAT idiotic actually caused him to revert to a previous form, the only one that could react appropriately. Then he'd tinker with the Red Pipe a bit, give Shepard a thumbs up when it was fixed so it wouldn't kill the Geth and EDI and anyone with a heart implant or hearing aid or such, and let Shepard do his job. The end.

Of course, if you change the main character, the story is going to turn out differently.

It would actually be his tenth form since he is currently in his eleventh

Nah, he wouldn't want to see the Reapers killed. He would have talked them into spinning in circles until centrifugal force flung them clear outside the galaxy.

yeah but the 9th doctor was more of a "destory my enemy"  kind of doctor.

True but the 10th doctor could have easily dealt with the Reapers without destroying them or listening to the garbage the star brat had to say.

Not by the end of the series. I'll always remember the 9th being taunted by the Emperor Dalek. "Destroy us Doctor. Destroy us and destroy Earth."

"I'LL DO IT"

But... he can't. I really wish he had more than one season. :crying:

It's a better ending than Mass Effect 3 so yes I would love it.

Would the series have turned out differently if Voltron showed up to fight the reapers? How about Superman? Do you think anything might change? Or no? Probably not right?

There's a difference though, it would make sense if the Doctor showed up because he is the Doctor, it would not make sense if Superman showed up because he is Superman.

Why not? Mass Effect is the earth of the future, superman is from earth. How about if Jedi showed up? Technically they're in the same universe as ours, just a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. But hey, they've had time to build force powered teleportation ships.

It would depend.

If it was the tenth doctor, he's have figured out that the reapers had a signal redundancy that he would have inverted, causing a feedback loop, destroying the reapers. Unfortunately, Ashley Williams would have been trapped in an alternate universe forever and Liara wouldn't be allowed to ever remember commander sheppard ever again.

The eleventh doctor would trick the reapers into inverting their signal redundancy, killing some of them, but opening up the rest of them to the possibility of synthetic/organic peace. Then, the inverted field would send a current through both Thane and Mordin, bringing them back to life. Because some days, everybody lives.
