Honestly, I wouldn't doubt some lowly actor because as the Batman Series has before they can surprise us like that.
Michael Keaton people some might think is a serious actor or a good one but when he was announced as Batman no one thought he would be a good fit. He was a comedian after all in the 80s and 70s. How could you take Michael Keaton seriously?
It reminded me of Tom Hanks in the 70s and 80s he just did funny movies sort of like what's his face Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller. In fact I feel like he was more like Ben Stiller than anyone. All of a sudden he makes two serious movies and he is now a legendary serious actor but if you grew up in the 80s you remember the skinny and funny Tom Hanks.
Then again I am also scared an Emo Vampire actor might hurt the series and as we all know no one has forgiven Joel Schumacher his IMDB page is still under attack so many years later. We don't need Yaoi lovers reinventing Batman.
