I did think Ashley's goodbye was fine, though.

Being as I've had a thing for Tali since the first Mass Effect I'm going to be biased towards her evac scene. I found it very touching and executed with just the right amount of emotion; it made me glossy-eyed and tight-chested. Same goes for her "I wanted more time" line. Both sets of dialog felt very real to me.

All that said, the evac scenes for the other possible love interests are also very good and delivered in ways which feel appropriate to the character--a very important detail. For most people, they'll lean towards the scene involving their respective LIs and that's completely understandable.

I think they were all good, but Tali's was best. That scene is so touching. "I have a home" gets my every time.

She does a fantastic job in the scene where she kills Legion, too; YouTube it if you haven't before.

Tali actually ends it with "Come back to me", which is a more powerful line than the misquote. Not just a "don't leave me" of the moment, but make sure to come back specifically to her.

But while I personally like the Tali LI evac best, every LI seems to have gotten at very least a nice sendoff from what I'm reading.  I've played through and seen Ashley's as well, very nice but also felt more generic.  Liara's sounds good and unique as well, but waiting until/if I eventually import that Liara LI playthrough to experience it directly rather than YT.

Thing is, while all squaddies responses to Shep are unique, Shep's dialogue during is not through all of the other romances (besides minor tweaks to Liara's) that aren't Tali's. Which I find unfair.

I really enjoyed Ashley's goodbye...I know they toss around alot of "i love you's" in general, I think Shep/Ash use the L word more than anyone, but that kind of strikes me as what you would probably say to someone you love if you were about to run towards a giant beamy death machine.

I agree, Tali's was much more personalized and was very moving. However to me Garrus' "And you've got to be kidding me!" is the best line in any of them. Granted, I'm biased.

Tali's send-off? "I want more time" was painful, this was awful (not "awful" as in "badly done" but "awful" in that it felt like a knife in the heart). Someone is very good at playing with emotions but it hurts badly that that's the last we see of them together, in that incredibly painful goodbye.

Heh my favorite romance in DA2 (Fenris) says that but when he says it it's swoon worthy. Liara's creeped me out.

MTE. It sounded somehow off in a futuristic sci-fi story, but it works for a fantasy elf with a sexy, sexy voice.
