I thought they were all hilariously bad, but that's just me.

Preferred Kaidan's. Does help that's the first time (and last in my Control ending)  Shep tells Kaidan "I love you".

YO, DON'T YOU HATE THE VS?

Nah just Ashley at this point. Kaidan managed to redeem himself.

I'm morbidly curious to hear everyone's alternate dialogue if you pick "You'd only slow me down" or whatever the option is, but I don't think anyone is that heartless.

dammit, these scenes are bringing up all of those feelings of not wanting to say good bye to all of these characters. There is a reason I have not played the EC DLC, already had to say good bye once, not really sure if I want to do it again.

Tali's was so good, the whole I have a home part pulled at the heart strings..
Liara's made me wish there was a dialog wheel option "you know what, **** Harby," hop on the Normandy and find a nice quite spot to hide with her. or you know have joker fire those massive cannons the Normandy has at harby, make the run down alittle easier.
Garus... Wish I could have took him all the way, bros till the very end.
Ash was typical though never been a big fan of her
Kaiden same, it was so so
EDI was sad... makes your heart go out to her/ it

these are from my point of view and I am biased to Liara, she is been my LI since ME1. lol wish i could meet a girl like her. Anyways, i think all the endings were done with a great amount of emotion that is unique to the each of the characters and Im sure that who ever your LI is, you will not be disappointed in the goodbye.

Eh I picked it with Kaidan I think he just got all sad and quiet. Then Shep ran off.

It is very good, isn't it? I play a femshep and rarely even have Tali in my squad, but I just saw it on YouTube today and immediately tears were going down my face.
Some of the others are okay. EDI's is interesting, if very unusual and even morbid. She says, "this platform is disposable" while almost paralyzed, slurring in a malfunctioning robotic voice, sounding as if her jaw is broken. In the end Shepard tells her to go apparently not out of concern for her, but concern for the Normandy, which made me think, just how connected are they? How much distinction is there between EDI the platform and EDI the ship?

omfg I didn't even consider there being non-romance evac scenes.

God EDI looks wrecked. That was creepy. Good, but creepy.

Top three evac scenes in my opinion are Tali, Garrus, and Kaidan. Just saw the Kaidan's for the first time a minute ago, so I had a tough time ranking his or Garrus' at #2. In the end though, Garrus is my bro so I may be a little biased. I also like the way Tali's doesn't use the phrase "I love you", instead evoking emotions through other words. In that sense, I think it makes it more powerful, and less cliche.

Indeed; I think often writers use "I love you" as kind of a crutch, something to fall back on when they can't come up with anything better.

Seriously though (not that my last post wasn't serious, of course), that scene made me even more annoyed that there was no reunion scene in High-EMS Destroy. After Tali's heartwrenching plea telling Shepard to come back to her, we get to see... him laying in a pile of rubble, and told "imagine the rest"? Poor show, Bioware.

Edit: Why do people care so much about the phrase "I love you?" It doesn't automatically make a relationship more meaningful when it's said; plus, it's kind of generic and cliche. Personal taste, I guess; I prefer more unique stuff.

\\

Personally I think there are different kinds of meanings with 'I love you." And the most meaningful of which is never 'cliche' or 'generic'. It's the most basic and human way of telling someone that you care so much about them, that you can not imagine living in a world without them.

The only thing I disliked about Tali's scene was the fact that after such an amazing, heart wrenching scene, and her begging him to make it back- Bioware still doesn't give us **** for a LI reunion.  >.>

Seeing as though I never had an LI I got Vega, you could see his frustation in not being able to continue and I actually prefer it to the soppy ones.

Tali not saying it doesn't bother me. The fact that Shepard NEVER says it during either game while romancing her, while he/she says it to many other romance options, bothers me. It bothered me before the EC, and they had the chance to rectify that mistake. Shepard says it to most every other big LI (at least the multi-game ones). It's just frustrating for my Shepard as an avatar to not say it.

I like how personal Tali's EC goodbye was, but was kind of disappointed that she and Shepard never said "I love you. Those three words basically made Kaidan's goodbye with a maleShep for me since they never say it before then.

And it has nothing to do with the romances, but EDI's goobye was really good, too.

Haha, the Paragon wheel for that Tali scene says, "I'll always love you." I bet you were pissed when he said something else!

I don't mind Shep not saying he loves her because it's obvious in the other things he says. I mean, on Rannoch when Tali says she loves him, he responds with Keela-selai, which I thought was WAY more epic. Like, hey there Tali, you see me? You see this Reaper, on your homeworld? You see how it's about to be gone? All for you, babe.

He says it in the "I want more time"-goodbye scene. The writers wrap it in mirrored dialogue and don't use the common straight "I love you".

I liked Keelah Se'Lai, but in the other THREE romantic scenes they have together, he doesn't say it. It was frustrating.

Yeah, I thought it was more clever that way, but apparently it flew over a lot of people's heads.

I don't think it "flew" over people's heads, some just want the line said straight up. I don't think it's needed but hey, I'm not gonna debate over it. Agreed that the scene is a great wrap-up though; Shepard saved Tali's homeworld and now she wants to do the same for him.

That's because different writers penned the other romance arcs, and Patrick Weekes rules. No offense to the other writers, but I think Weekes takes the cake out of all of them. It was already mentioned, but Shepard DOES say it in the London FOB goodbye dialogue. Very cleverly done and much less blunt force than the others, part of the reason I prefer his style.

A lot of people think Shepard is being "cold" or "uncaring" because he never says those three words, but if you absolutely need someone to physically say "I love you" in order to solidify things (in a form of media like a movie or game), I can't help you.

It's a matter of opinion, naturally, but her inflection certainly helps.

I found EDI's to be more heart string pulling than the others (Probably becuase I has already made up my mind that Shepard would choose destroy which just added a bit more to the scene than I expected... plus I didn't actually expect her to have one in the first place)

Her hand reaching out to Shepard the whole time.. kinda got to me :(

Uh, well, since those three words do literally come out of Shepard's mouth, they should have no problem then.

Unless you're saying they wanted it said in the boring, standard, copy-paste from any other romance way. In which case, well, I don't know what to say to that.
