Could just be dumb luck but wth who cares if it seems to work more times than not, I'm all for it. My wife expects me to fart whilst playing video games (and drink, and belch). It's part of my charm.

It's a disgusting habit, but everyone does it. I know some people might hold their noses at this thread and complain, but they're ripping a good one (thread, that is).

To Clarify some things:
- No, I am not trolling. I wouldn't take the time to write a detailed topic in the forums if I were trolling, nor would I troll
- No, you do not have to fart while doing it. That was just an incident that led to the discovery of the process. Although I did say in the first paragraph to "do what I did" but was a little ambiguous on to what exactly that entailed. So I could understand some confusion there. But I still expect better judgement from you guys; C'mon.
- Thank you to those who have not taken it seriously, while still taken it seriously. And by that I mean, you don't get all upset because I made a serious thread that happened to also be comical, and you still go try out the method and post your results here. Thank you, thats exactly what I wanted.
- Just becuase something is funny, doesn't mean that its not genuine.
- All of you knew what to expect when you read the title of this thread and clicked on it.
- For those of you who consider yourself tech savs, or supposedly have a degree in tech savagry, I know that this seems like bull**** and its illogical. Trust me, I'm not stupid. But as I said from the beggining, "The proof is in the pudding." Maybe it would have been more appropriate to say that the proof is in the numbers. I don't know how it works, but it does. The results that I got and the results that other people are getting reflect the fact that this may have some substance. Leading me to my next point;
- Post here if it did work, AND if it didn't work for you. I'm looking for statistics on a larger scale than I can achieve with just the 10 packs that I bought. Stats, stats, stats. This is a theory, and I want you as a community to help me try it out. Again thanx to those who have so far.
- Yes, tapping the B button in Pokemon works. Evri tiem.

Well I was on a two-going-on-three day drought so I gave this afternoon shot. While I didn't have as dramatic a result as the op, I got a scorpion 3 on my 3rd pack and later got a Black Widow 7. In total I think I bought 3 specter and 5 premium packs. Still better than average. It may well be coincidence but I'll continue to try it out. The thought of influencing it is too sexy to resist anyways (see: catching mewtwo above).

On the PC, I tried it with about 3 SPs and 6 PSPs, mixing both in-game credits and BW-points. Got 3 N7/UR weapons, which is not as much as the OP claimed, but still significantly more than before.

Ok I'm kind of freaking out right now. I just played some games with my friends and bought 4 packs. On the first two I did the hold down thing and got gear. Then I decided to do the imagining the slot machine thing I was talking about in the op, and imagined a scorpion stopping before letting go and then got the scorpion X. Then on the next pack I imagined the Paladin stopping in a diagonal and got the paladin IV. Like it really freaked me out. But ya. Anyways.

As an update: Out of all of the people that have posted -

saw this thread on my phone while on vacation last week... having had terrible luck with ultra-rares so far, i decided to try this method when opening my first PSP back last night. (minus the farting.)
