I'm a male and i am not obsessed with a beard. I shave everyday and i like to keep it shaved, makes me feel clean.

But Robert Downeys beard in Iron Man is so awesome....i want that beard but would look strange on an 18 year old, think i will wait until i become a super sexy middle aged man.

Oh and didn't somebody say that guys in their 20's and 30's are douches if they sport a moustache or beard?

I rather enjoy having facial hair. I can't grow a full beard, unfortunately. My facial hair seems to gravitate to a goatee/mustache combination. I can grow pretty sweet sideburns as well though I have to trim those often to avoid them growing wild.

The most I've ever been able to cultivate is a rather hairy upper lip. My mother's still puts it to shame though.

I'm 14 and get full-on stubble, and no-baby face. I can't even get a clean shave anymore.

I get scruff if I don't shave for a day or two.

Its all a matter of opinion,
My opinions are 1, that thick beards for me as a bisexual man is not attractive sexually, low cut beards or no beards are attractive.

2, On a non sexual point of view I dont mind beards at all as long as they not unreasonably thick, and a well kept and neatly cut beard low cut or thick makes a man look good the same as any other form of grooming.

3, For me though I prefer I have no beard at all though I keep it low cut bcus its inconvenient to deal with ingrowing hairs on my face which are very annoying.

I am 26 years old!

It`s not really your opinions. It`s what they keep showing in the mainstream media. That man with no beards and stubble are 'sexy' and people with big beard are unsophisticated and not metrosexual. There`s nothing sexy or unsexy about a beards. It`s the brainwashing. At some point beard might become sexy. Tan at some point was considered something ugly.

Having too much of a strong opinion on everything else can have a negative impact on your life man. I rather hang with free-spirited people rather than heavy judgemental people who believe they possess an opinion.

3, For me though I prefer I have no beard at all though I keep it low cut bcus its inconvenient to deal with ingrowing hairs on my face which are very annoying.

i just want to make it clear that hygiene have nothing to do with beards. It`s a misconception and a bad stereotype. I've met well groomed and shaved people that stink(and sophisticated people ) .

I am 26 years old!

You still have time to grow has a human being!

By the way  someone obsession with their appearance and fashion can be a disorder called narcissism and your opinion might be different than what you`re saying. It`s called influence.

I`m not judging you .. It`s the internet. Though. But by sake god stop reading fashion magazine. They`re not doing good for your mental health if you think a beards it`s not something a 'BI' can sport. Maybe I`m just weird and a Paysan. Whatever. I don`t care. Some filk need to loosen up.

My husband grows out a beard and wears it through hunting season every year. I absolutely hate it. It doesn't look horrible, but I'm just partial to smooth skin.

I'm 24, almost good looking and I put kind of 19th century beard like a Baron. Mustache just doesn't suit me well.

I know I'm severely late to this topic (I'm bored as hell so why not?) but my reasoning for growing a beard (when I do) is a mix between general laziness and the fact that it irritates my skin more often than not, even if using aftershave.

I'm required to be clean shaven for 2 days a week (Tues & Thurs) for Marines poolee meetings and that's it so I shave Tuesday morning and by Friday it's back to being close to a full blown 5 o'clock shadow and then some by Tuesday again. On weeks without the meets, I just say screw it. I'm not out to impress anybody. lol

Though I must admit I was sad that my team didn't make the playoffs this year, I had a pretty damn good beard going last year when the Lightning went to the Eastern Conference Finals. But alas..

I'm Greek and can't grow a beard at all, sad, sad times. My dad had a full grown beard when he was 14, crazy, but I can barely grow a goatee and I hate having a clean face.

That makes sense. Do you think you'd grow and epic thicknasty beard if you didn't have to shave for meetings?

I've got a Van ******. I'm only 20 so my facial hair is still growing in;I imagine when I'm older it might resemble my father's facial hair which is quite epic(Sean Connery epic).

For now I love what I've got. My avatar was me in 09 when my stache and beard didn't connect, now they do. When I trim my facial hair I keep them separated. Makes it look better when it grows back in.

B/c it's manly.

I tend to use a goatee. But that Robert Downey Jr. beard, which I assume is a 'disconnected goatee', is something I have to try in the future. You can't help liking that guy.
