Blew a good hour plus playing the game from pre-cereberus base attack until the ending but got no EC. I loaded up a game that I had beaten where all that is left is to assault the cerberus base. I'm on 360 and have the EC patch downloaded

Downloaded and installed? Don't know about 360 but on PS3 downloading it and installing it are separate things.
