Agreed. I can at least say that Jack had some character development in ME3 and that BW had spent time in changing her image but with Miranda it was almost as if the ME2 Miri we grew to know and love was gone...replaced with a cheap knock off! Similar to what occured with Jacob and Samara.

And dont even get me started on the fact that Miranda and Jacob are both walking around with the same Cerberus suits on. They couldnt even be bothered to change the colour!!!!

When they announced Cerberus as the 'baddies' I jumped for joy, I thought of all the massive possibilities Miranda had in the story for ME3. And who would my Shep want by his side as he whooped Cerberus' ass!? My all Powerful biotic friend Jack of course who hated them as much as me!

But no... I wasnt allowed to have them in ME3. Instead I had to bring EDI along to Cronos station...talk to Liara about Cerberus, who no offence knew nothing about my past in ME2...and no I don't accept the excuse that 'Liara knows all..shes the shadow Broker'.

I would LOVE to see some Miranda and Jack DLC. Their roles felt so unfulfilled in ME3 to me which is why to me it has little replay value because I know no matter what I do in game they will still be sidelined. I don't agree with the treatment of Thane and Jacob but I feel they had slightly less to give in terms of the story anyway.

Rant over...

Subscribed. The wasted story potential is just incomprehensible. I don't know how Jack's fans think about her character presentation in ME3, but MIranda was mutilated, with more than half of her gone, and the remaining parts her least interesting aspects.

I'm a big fan of both characters and I would say that Jack fared much better than Miranda.

Jack wasn't in it very much, but you really got to see her progression from ME2, and it was fantastic.  You really got a sense that everything Shepard did for her (romanced or non-romanced) really helped her perspective.  So while she wasn't in it very much at all, and that's a shame, they stayed true to her character.

I agree that Miranda got shafted.  I couldn't believe the writers were content to retread the sister storyline again, and I just could not buy that Miranda wouldn't have joined Shepard on the Normandy right away.  There's absolutely no reason why she couldn't have done everything from there.

Also, I really wanted to see Miranda and Jack intermingle with the returning characters from ME1, as well as the new ones.

So much wasted potential for absolutely fantastic characters.

Which is why I would like to think that some kind of DLC is at least being contemplated.

It would be really good idea, 'cause Jack is so perfect as Miranda and they both should be in game. Not just for a few cutscenes :3

This really does need to happen. Its a shame these two got such roles, they deserved better. And why Cerberus arc didnt feature a former high ranking operative is puzzling.

Jack & Miranda in the same DLC would be rather awesome. Talk about friction....

Puzzling, indeed Image IPB

In essence, to me the issue really is that the Cerberus arc should have been the most emotionally powerful and thematically compelling part of the story. At least on par with the Genophage and Rannoch. But maybe more so because of the issues involved.

But for that to happen, the characters with the deepest connection to the organisation need to be involved. There need to be some layers, choices, different outcomes. The main Cerberus story is currently lacking all of this.

"The" Cerberus arc? There was a Cerberus arc in this game?

I think all of the love interests should get stuff, although Miranda and Jack are the least of my worries;
Thane and Jacob-mancers totally got shafted way more than Miranda and Jack. Thane freaking dies and Jacob cheats on you, at least you see and can kinda continue your relationship with Miranda or Jack.

What? I had the impression the whole game was a Cerberus arc! They had more missions than the Reapers!
Instead of going for Reapers' activities it's the whole time just "Cerberus on this planet!", "Cerberus on that planet!", "Kai Leng is here!", "Kai Leng is there!". ... which makes the cameo that crucial characters like Miranda and Jack got, even worse.

A shame that this has been moved from the General forum, it needed the publicity that comes from that area.

If it's still pinned I'll consider it a good sign.

This would help flesh out the admittedly lacking Cerberus arc. And yes, Jacob should be prominent in an Omega/Cerberus dlc....the Archer bros too, maybe just Gavin redeeming himself. The sad truth is Jacob just isn't popular, and his absolutly murdered LI arc isn't helping in that department.

It'd be nice if Jacob could come along, with all his Cerberus connection and his deep, painfully obvious need of some writer love.

Which sort of leaves Samara and Thane out in the cold.... So why not have them breeze through/have their stories tied up a bit more, too?

Moved and yet still stickied. How bizarre; especially because I've never seen a thread pinned to the top of the character section before.

If we get this DLC, we may end up having to pay for it, but who cares? I want it, and I don't care how much I pay for it!

You see though, Thane is dying, even more so when he gets shot. His lack of Oxygen levels in his bloodstream would inhibit him from further content than he already has in Mass Effect 3.

Yeah, but given how he was bouncing around in his last fight scene, I think he was at least a wee bit ok. Certainly prior to that.

I'll happily pay.

I doubt very much this kind of hypothetical DLC would be free.

Yea Samara and Thane were left out in the cold. Ideally all the ME 2 characters would have stuff in a mega DLC pack but if not, maybe have it in pairs.

While I liked the thread being on general, I wondered how many people would see it, I mean I barely look at the general discussion as it is, choosing to go to the story and characters forms. Still I hope Bioware is making DLC about Miranda and Jack, Thane and Samara, Jacob , Morinth, Zaeed, Kasumi.

Heres another thought:
Many in the Miranda thread talked about Miranda taking whats left of Cerberus and making it into a new organization, humanities STG, perhaps name it Phoenix or something like that. Anyways I have this idea, what if Jack joins the organizations, heading the biotic development and research section. Heck they could still work closely with Grissom but this department will focus on developing biotic potential in humans in non-cerberus disastrous/ inhumane, ways. Having Jack oversee it would ensure that there would be no foul play, and that connection with Grissom would have a larger research pool.
Wouldn't it be coo, if at the end of the DLC they start talking about those possibilities. IDK Im just speculating possibilities of a Miranda/Jack DLC.

Thats the million dollar question that we would like to know the asnwer to. Also that question brings both hope and caution.

This would be the way to go.  And if this is actually stickied for a reason, and not just accident, it might be safe to suggest this could be the plan.

One thing's certain:  BioWare loves to keep their fans speculating.
