no, i dont want every ME 2 character to play a big role... Jack and Miranda are both not important if you think about it.... they dont even have any huge impact on the rest of the galaxy.
Sure Miranda was Cerberus top agent in ME 2, but in ME 3 not really much except for her appearance in Sanctuary. Jack isnt anything extraordinary aswell... a biotic psycho nothing else, no major impact on Galaxy.
Characters like Tali and Garrus are important in ME 3 because they are one of the important faces of their species. I wish Legion could be a squad choice during the Rannoch missions though... but meh. Wrex could be a cool squad mate in ME 3 aswell, but not going to happen.
I dont want to see a DLC where they add Miranda to Squad selection, it just doesnt fit in the whole plot of ME 3. Something like retaking Omega from TIM and having a temporary squad mate Aria for the mission - that would be cool.

What would Miranda Lawson's abilities be?
The format is 2 non bonus powers plus 2 brand new bonus powers.
Miranda Lawson (she can't have slam since Javik has it)
Warp
Overload
Tactical Scan (I was told smash and lash were too aggressive. Someone came up with a better suggestion)
Crush (A biotic power that crushes unprotected targets doing plenty of damage. It will also reduce the mobility of protected targets).
Ex-Cerberus Tactician
Jack (she can't have warp ammo since Liara has it)
Warp
Shockwave
Smash
Lash
Subject Zero
Why limit ourselves to Jack and Miranda?
Samara (can't have reave because Kaidan has it)
Warp
Throw
Biotic Sphere
Overpower (Increases cool downs in favour of greater power damage)
Asari Justicar
Morinth
Warp
Throw
Pulsar (creates a suspended sphere. This has an expanding then contracting ring that does plenty of damage and throws enemies. Can be modified to include incendiary, cryo and lightning effects)
Dominate (slows down synthetics and reduces their accuracy. Organic foes become tempoary allies)
Ardat Yakshi
Kasumi Goto (I'm including shadow strike as a bonus ability)
Overload
Sabotage
Shadow Strike
Flash Bang Grenade
Saboteur
Jacob Taylor (Can't have barrier because Kaidan has it)
Pull
Shockwave
Heavy Risk (reduces Jacob's defence, to increase his power and weapon damage)
Teleport (instead of biotic charge, Jacob can teleport anywhere within a 20 metre radius)
Cerberus Defector
Mordin Solus (for one mission)
Overload
Cryo Blast
Flamer
Poison Gas (a smoke screen that makes enemies within unable to see. Also poisons any organics within)
Salarian Scientist
Zaeed Massani (can't have inferno grenades because Ashley has them)
Disruptor Ammo
Concussive Shot
Ballistic Blades (yes I know it's a tech power. But Baterian soldiers have it.)
Blade Armour (yes I know it's a tech power. But Baterian soldiers have it.)
Mercenary
Legion (for one mission)
Sabotage
Overload
Geth Turret
Geth Hunter
Networked AI
Thane (for one mission)
Pull
Warp
Assassinate (a red laser beam focuses on an enemy. The next sniper shot will do a heavy damage bonus)
Shredder Ammo (Will do additional damage to organics. Can cause organics to bleed)
Drell Assassin
Udnot Wrex (for one Mission)
Biotic Charge
Nova
Hardened Shell (An additional layer of protection inbetween barrier and health. But this can only be repaired inbetween missions).
Corrosive Grenade
Krogan Battlemaster
Udnot Grunt
Incendiary Ammo
Concussive Shot
Immunity: increases hit pointsm and makes him immune to enemy powers
Overkill: For a short period of time, weapon ammo will do additional damage and cause most enemy types to stagger/fall.
Krogan Berserker

Jack getting a complete character model redesign makes me think there might be something on the cards for her down the line, they could have simply left her as is in her loyalty outfit for her part in ME3 but they went to the trouble of completely redesigning her...
Art book in the CE talks about Jack's change in looks and why it happened. But story wise it was due to her becoming a teacher at Grissom and her look is a compromise of not having to wear full Alliance gear.
They changed her look before all that, so I believe she was going to have more than what we got, but you know - popular things must always come first.
I would love a mini story arc between her and Miranda, the banter that those two could have - especially concerning events that has unfolded (Jack becoming a teacher, Miranda leaving Cerberus). Could have some particular funny moments, if either are romanced - I can see the two making even more fun of each other and, well... Shepard.
Jack: "Shepard's still going after that cheerleader ass of yours?"

They have an important impact on SHEPARD. On the bolded, you can say that to every squadmate, even Liara - who lacks the ability to be a good Shadow Broker, but that's the writers fault, IMO.

How can you complain about either of their roles when you look at what happened to Jacob?

ME2 characters in general should be the DLC.

And Jack would obviously be a Novaguard.. Dont waste your time.. Shockwave?? We have dismissed this claim..
And Jack would definitely have Lash/Smash not Miranda.. FAIL CHARACTER DESIGN!

I think that Tactical scan would fit better than smash. It really fits her tactician fighting style. Smash is too heads on.Abraham_uk wrote...

I am all for more of sweet, sweet Miranda. but really all me2 characters got reemed in me3, they all need more face time. And they really need to redo Shepards 1st meeting with Miranda so he's not such a douche...
I usually play female shepard as the acting is better in all 3. the only time i played male was for Miranda.
To me me3 was no more than 60% of the game i was expecting.
Hell yes for more Miranda, and others if they really have to

At any rate, I think it would be cool if they managed to tie certain ME2 characters to new DLC. Don't necessarily make those characters integral to the plot of said DLC (they could be dead, after all), but make them participants. The problem with Miranda being included though, is that she's tied up in the story until almost the end of the game. You'd have to fit her into a very narrow window for this to work. Jack works fine though. There isn't a particularly good reason why she can't come with you after a while, at least for a mission or two.

In Miranda's case it could be redone that you run into her at TIM's base. she lo-jacked Leng, so she can also track him if she wished. and while your deciding to go there to start the final run with Hackett asking if your really, really sure you wanna go, Miranda could have Oriana settled and started her way there.
That way not only will she be where she should have been all along, but after Miranda will be on the Normandy for a real pre-apocolyptic goodbye in your cabin

I agree with tiing ME 2 chars into DLC. Having said that Miranda actually has alot fo room for dlc with her story with what they have her do (almost gave spoils until I noticed the General Discussion) I wish I coudl go into detail but...lets just say they coudl fit some Cerberus story arcs in there both before and after spoiler mission.
Edit: I dig that this is a pinned thread. perhaps it is a good sign!. The moderator may have accidently pinned it.

Maybe, but I'm of the opinion that you need to include something substantial in DLCs. Character development and nothing else isn't really substantial enough, especially if it's just one character. Miranda is difficult because any mission that takes place when she's available would have to take place between the last "open galaxy" story mission, and the "point of no return." That's just too narrow of a window. They'd have to rewrite Miranda's role in the story (which is more substantial than any other non-returning character) to have her be available for more than just the end-game.Knight3000 wrote...

Please make a poll and send it to Bioware, OP.
I will pay for more scenes with my Shepard's LI.
BTW, does anyone know what Jack's VA ended up voicing? If I recalled, I thought she mentioned some voicework on Twitter.

I still believe Jack was originally intended to be a companion. Why else would they pay so much attention to overhauling her appearance? No other cameo character got the same treatment. Completely changed character model, a spot in the art book, heck her clothes even have weapon slots on the back. Why? Probably cause they made her character model early in development when she was intended to be a fully fledged companion, then cut her back to a cameo.
It makes me sad to think about. Shes one of my favorite characters.
That was my impression as well. Jack is the only ME2 character with a unique appearance. The others all look nearly identical to how they looked in ME2. The only possible explanation is that Jack was originally intended to be a squadmate.
