Probably some variation of what happens in other ME3 missions when a character can be dead: some type of adjustment is made so the mission is fully playable anyway (just to summarize what has been said).
Ah ok. Thanks!

What obvious reasons?cbutz wrote...
So, assuming a DLC with Miranda and Jack is made. If it does not include a Cerberus story arc, since we seem to have talked about that the most for obvious reasons, what type of story arc could it be. Reapers? Mercs? something else? Let your speculations and fake stories flow!
They both have a life-long past with Cerberus. There can't be anything else than a Cerberus arc for these 2.

Of course there can be something else than a Cerberus arc.
In fact, I expected even more than a Cerberus arc for Miranda. She should be involved in the reaper war and not just because of her link with Cerberus.
I would be glad to see a Cerberus DLC with Miranda, but for me this character will remain a wasted potential.

Conceivably, a Cerberus DLC with Miranda and Jack involved could also involve the Reapers. Specifically, TIM's plans to control them, and Cerberus' use of experiments on human subjects to attain that ability.
This is what Miranda's father is doing on Sanctuary, where Miranda intervenes. The whole idea is pretty underdeveloped, though. Jack's history with Cerberus is that she was a subject of a Cerberus cell's experiments.
So... that's something the DLC could address in more depth.

She would be involved indirectly, once again.
Considering her abilities she should not be confined in this role.
But I guess asking Bioware to give an appropriate role to Miranda in ME3 is like asking the impossible. So I will have to content myself with a cerberus DLC (if there is one).

Guerilla-styled hit and run missions with Admiral Anderson and Major Coates? Sign me up.
Miranda's solo infiltration of Sanctuary, holding out against waves of Cerberus troops and Kei Ling? Yes, please.
And I would love to see how Jack rallied her students to hold of Cerberus until Shep and Company arrived.

Tell that to Tali and Garrus. Fanboy popularity is a powerful tool.

Jack and Miranda deserve more content. They're great, interesting characters and what's more- they're both LI's. I would also add Jacob there as he is ex-cerberus along with Miranda. And I wish Jack could be recruited (Miranda too!)
These things, they must happen.

Tali and Garrus? Mordin and Legion! They were worked in so perfectly you would think they are crucial for their mission...o Ventus wrote...

So indeed, that Miranda could die is no excuse for her terribly lacking content.
It's her lack of fan-support. The amount of content for the characters was clearly ranked after the amount of fans. Doesn't matter if it makes sense in the plot or not. Miranda was essential for the Cerberus arc and if she would have had more fans begging for content, they would have used her there.
But currently it's like this: If you are a fan of a minor character (6th most chosen LI) then you made the wrong decision. You won't get any content.

^^^ This is why the 'Artistic Integrity' line was so laughable. BW doesn't have a drop of it, and no one really expected them to.

Well what if it's found out that Cerberus is using Omega as a giant 'factory' for the Phantom project. Say they're kidnapping biotics for indoctrination... let's say one of Jack's students gets abducted... I think you see where I"m going there for her involvment.
Miranda? I have no suggestions, to me she's a flavorful as a cardboard box so I don't have any ideas. What sort of stake she would have in Omega has to be some loose end with Cerberus... the problem is that they haven't really hinted towards any of those after her job on sanctuary. Maybe add in some data found in Sanctuary that Old Man Lawson decided to make yet another 'legacy' baby, and Miranda/Oriana want to go save the thing. Or better yet, cut that out and just have Miranda show up because it's her damn responsibility to clean up a mess she helped create.
Edit: oops just realised you weren't calling the idea of a DLC underdeveloped, just the preexisting content
AH well.

Yeah. If a DLC explored some of the ideas I refered to in my earlier post, then I think it would be in some new area.
Cerberus does have a presence on Omega, though. So, that's another idea.

Why not mention Liara, Ashley or Kaiden, who are even more important to the main story? Liara may be somewhat popular, but thats hardly the case with Kaiden or Ashley.o Ventus wrote...

but miranda was defienatly my faverate character in me2 and I was praying she would be in my squad in me3 ..... But that was not to be and instead I get James vega With the personality of dry wall....
Miranda and jack just seem to have been rushed in like they didn't no what to do with them until it was to late , Someone also said about Jacob, he's another that feels pushed aside even in me2 ,
Whatever dlc they do it better stay cheap or even better free........doubtful !
Would buy this dlc but doubt it will be released ....

Perhaps Jack would fit there in this "Scum/Renegade-Environment", but I never connected Miranda to it. Sure, it would feature Cerberus, but using Miranda there already feels forced in concept to me. She really has nothing that would connect her to the invasion of Omega...
You would have to make up something to satisfy fan-request in something that is already established. Pretty much what's already a flaw in the game's storytelling: Shadow Broker has time to get on the Normandy, the Cerberus AI is trusted to transfer crucial Alliance information, ... stuff like that. I don't like it.

I think it would be simple enough: Petrovsky is there, he is a high-ranking Cerberus operative whose loyalty to TIM has been somewhat shaken by recent events. Miranda comes along to convince him to join his forces to the ex-Cerberus operatives working with the Alliance to defeat the Reapers.
Something along those lines.
