Hello!

I would be very grateful in to count with some help, please.

I have Mass Effect 3 on PC, and it was running fine, until I install the Extended Cut DLC. After that, I can't to play the game anymore.

I have already restarted my machine, several times, without any effect. I have also completely uninstalled the game, cleared the Windows Registry, restarted the machine, re-installed the game, etc. But nothing makes any effect.

I have also deleted temporary folder and have cleared Origin cache, deleting all game installers before to reinstall the game. To repair the installation also does not makes any effect.

When I click on Mass Effect 3 link inside Origin, I can see, after that,
that there is a proccess called masseffect3.exe running on Windows Task Manager.
But the game does not appears. Does nos starts.

Have you been starting through the Origin 'my games' screen? If i try it through Origin the game "starts" but never actually starts, i just stay on my desk top. But I have found that if i start through a desktop shortcut that it works fine every time. If I try to "start" in origin, then go back and try the desktop icon it still will not work , so i have to exit Origin first then try again.

I have already tried to start from the desktop shortcut. It makes the login screen of Origin appears. I have, so, to insert my data and Origin is opened. On the upper right side of the client there is a message saying that I'm playing Mass Effect 3, but I'm not.

I'm having this same problem. I've got this nice, unkillable MassEffect3.exe*32 sitting there at ~255k of memory, 0% processor use, but no actual running game.  The thing is, I was running it yesterday just fine, but today, no dice.

I can't even shut down my PC normally after trying to start it. I have to do a hard shutdown.

To say I'm less than pleased would be an understatement.

Edit:  Just noticed, I also have an unkillable OriginClientService.exe*32.  When I had Origin running, there were 2 of them.  I wonder if this doesn't have something to do with it.

I meant that I was using ME3's not Origin.  If I use a ME3 shortcut i have little issue, it will still start Origin if it is not already running, but the game has been reliably starting for me since i started using Its shortcut directly. 

I would recomend exiting Origin first and trying a direct ME3 shortcut.

Hopfully that helps some.

Just as an FYI to anyone else with this problem, this worked for me.  If I have Origin running and connected, then use a shortcut directly to ME3 instead of trying to start it from inside Origin, it starts fine.  Seems to be an Origin problem, not an ME3 problem.

Hi,

The EA's technical support gave me a suggestion, and that worked.

I gone to Origin folder and renamed the file IGO32.dll to IGO3211.dll. So, I created a shortcut for Mass Effect 3 and have to run it as administrator.

The game works, but in my case, a message saying that somethings essential in Origin are not present anymore. I don't experienced any problem due to this, until now, however.

I'm having issues with my two month old computer crashing, locking up, and getting 'Blue Screen of Death' ever since I downloaded the Extended Cut. I have had to restore my system twice now, in order for it to run correctly, and I am on PC and using Windows 7 64-Bit.

When I Log into Origin and it checks the DLC, I get a message that says my DLC is corrupt (nothing to say which DLC is corrupt) and that I need to reinstall it. I have uninstalled ME3 now three times. I am currently not running the EC, and I have been able to play on MP without getting frozen or kicked.

Has anyone else gotten problems since downloading the EC??? Just wondering what we can do? If there continues to be a problem, I won't try to download the EC again, I'll just try to watch it on YouTube.

Any Solutions?

I have very low framerate after 10 minutes of gameplay since downloading EC :/

Ha. You can at least download the thing - or play. After the prompted update to Origin I can´t play ME3, can´t start up Origin.
Try to start up either one, they briefly flash on the taskmanager and then nothing. At all. Trying to install previous version of Origin results in it aborting the installing process in a similar manner - it downloads, I start installing and after around five seconds the window abruptly disappears - poof. Nothing.
Logging onto Origin and I don´t even have a My Games tab. So far the thing I´ve stopped at trying to get my game working is regedit - because WHY would I have to resort to mucking around in things I shouldn´t be concerned about as your regular gameloving dumbuser.

Physical media, XP SP3, dualcore intel 2,6, ATI 4670, asrock.

venom - Here, take my money, keep the game, bless DMR. God I´m starting to feel symphatetic towards piracy. Like one poster said - support the company by purchasing the game and then go and torrent it so you could play in peace. Mind you though - even with all my anger, piracy still holds no real appeal to me - it just seems so unfair. /venom

So back to waiting for an official fix...Is this even aknowledged?

i cant do the control ending since installing the ec dlc, it just stops working, not even a crash just black screen in game then nothing, just after the star gazer cutscene bit before the auto save is supposed to save, so now i cant have that ending, the other endings are ok so far i have done destroy and synthesis without any problems, though my game did start to freeze up earlier today in the earth mission at the end
