F*ck no, I don't need to have my eyes glow green to get along with synthetics.
Well now you mention it.......... I've always wanted to be able to read in the dark....... and think of all the times the power goes out at home at night......... No more candles or torches.
And think of all the times your computer refuses to boot up when you hit the power button........ you could pat it and ask it whats wrong.......... I'm starting to like the idea of adding a common factor into genetic diversity........... Even if it does mean that disease and viruses that once only affected one species can now adapt to this commonality and infect everyone........
Or maybe that last part was me reading to much into the crop science of managing pest and disease by using different varieties of plant.

And since the Reapers bodies are all laying around I assume they have some sort of hard drive that you would be able to extract knowledge from.

People who say you can just "rebuild" all the Geth are people who are not treating them like they are actually live.
I think most of those just "head-canon" them back to life to be honest. Just so they can have their perfect ending with no consequences.

Shepard was dead and cerberus 'rebuilt' him. Were they not treating him like he was actually alive?
Don't see how it's 'head-canon' when spacekid specifically tells you that you can repair all damages that is done. And it wouldn't really be perfect when a bunch of your friends had died, you had to wipe out a bunch of batarian colonies before the start of the actual game just to prevent the reapers from arriving too soon. Not really perfect in my estimation.

Shepard was revived by plot armor with an in-game cost greater than that of the entire Normandy. The galaxy will have to expend the majority of its resources just to recover from the Reaper War themselves, how much budget do you think they are going to have for reviving an entire species of evolved AI that they still don't full understand?

This scenario assumes that the God of the ME Universe, Star-jar, wouldn't smite me before I had the chance.

No. If I was with Shepard on the Citadel and saw him going toward that Fountain of Space Magic I'd have shot him. Several times. Then I'd have walked up to his body and put one in his brain for good measure.

Pretty sure Shepard would have kicked your ass.

That wasn't the point I was arguing, I was arguing against the 'if you say you can rebuild them, you don't think they ever lived' statement.
I'm sure most of the cost of bringing shepard back to life was because of him being an organic, bringing dead human tissue back to life would be much harder than repairing a being made of synthetic materials. But from my understanding of how the Geth work you could repair a few of them and they would repopulate themselves anyway. The Quarians didn't create the entire species of Geth, they created a relatively small number of them and then the Geth built the rest by themselves. And I'm sure they would repopulate themselves for free...

It really seems to me like people don't pay attention to these endings, and what they mean. The synthesis ending is totally misinterpreted.
People decided they hated Synthesis before EC, so now they still hate it even though the things they claimed to dislike are mostly disproved by the EC. People liked Destroy, so they are willing to accept the changes/updates to Destroy.

Well I kinda meant they could repair the orignal Geth who had been destroyed. I mean if you could murder some one and it was basically a given that they could be brought back to life with a little time and expense, then I'm sure it would just be more of an annoyance than a family tragedy:
"For Christ's sake, some one just murdered Grandad again!"
"Really? We only just finished rebuilding him!"
"Yeah! Looks like I'm gonna have to work more shifts this week"
