That would be true if there was anything wrong with the other two choices. ^.^

:?

Is there something hard to understand? All three choices have up and down sides. My Sheps have picked all three, and while Destroy is my first choice, I have no problems with blue or green.

well the word is usually used in religion , and that only human beings have a soul. and well the quarians created the geth and pretty sure they would know if they put a soul in them. i mean i am not saying that we have souls or whatever just that well the geth probably didn't but again idk

I think, in all honesty, what is meant is 'am I real/alive/do I feel?' I don't think they mean soul in the literal sense.

The Geth engineers working on the Crucible should have seen, by its design, that it may wipe out synthetic life.
Did they warn anybody? Not that I know.

The Geth may be good engineers but not even they noticed this apparently... The geth arn't all knowing, if they had been they they would have figured out a way to avoid the destruction... Who knows... maybe they tried... But most likely they had as little idea of what that thing did as the rest of the citadel people.. Their technology wasn't significantly more advanced than that of the other specis, asside from the reaper inspired Thanix like shotguns and rifles. Which probably wasn't their tech to begin with.

I would care.
But its just Bioware cramming forced BS on us to fulfill Walters and Hudson's delusion about what the series means.

Its never been about Organic vs Synthetic.
Diversity and Cooperation vs Homogeneity and Dominance.

there is: synthesis is so blatantly bad, hamfisted peace-for-all ending

control is: ignore everything the reapers have done to this point, they just need a good leader.

each goes against 'stopping' the reapers because they're stll around, what happened to raepers ability to indoctrinate? what about the ethics of having husks still run around? husks etc were once people, friends, families, wives, brothers, husbands...

I apologize if the question is off-topic, but I have noticed a tendency among many of those who say Geth don´t have soul, that they actually believe in the concept of a soul but not that A.I. can have one, simply because, as they put it, "they are machines".
But technically humans can be perceived as machines too, so what makes a human being capable of having a soul but not a sentient creature such as the Geth??

No, it's really not. In fact, I see more clearly and open-mindedly then you, apperantly. But neither of us will conveince the other, and I have no issues with the destory ending whatsoever. If you don't like green or blue, don't use them. But do not try to tell me why I can't. ^.^

....a human can not be percieved as a machine. Lord above, talk about grasping at straws.

The answer to your question is a religous debate in the making, therefore, I'm not touching it.

Once again, I do not even belive they mean 'soul' in the literal sense.

Whether you call it genocide or not, you are responsible for the extinction of a synthetic species. Whether or not that is an acceptable sacrifice to destroy the Reapers is a personal decision.

Color it however you'd like. It's still a genocide. You will kill/destroy/shut down/whatever the synthetics. You will take away their lives. And yes, they live. Maybe differently than organics. But as long as they don't want to be destroyed and didn't do anything wrong, they deserve to continue their existence just as any organic. And no matter what my goal was before, if I have a chance to stop a war and at the same time save lives, I will do it.

I'd still argue that goal of the entire series is not to 'kill the Reapers,' but instead to 'save the galaxy.' I doubt Shepard would have been terribly vexed if the Reapers changed their minds and just decided to leave.

This sums it up.

But the fact remains that it is NOT genocide.

They did a lot wrong.

And yet AGAIN, this is war. In war, there will be casualties. Every single sentiant being that takes part in this war is willing to die for it and accepts the fact that they might.
