I was in a game once playing with randoms and some guy picked up the package and jsut ran around shooting enemies. I guess he really wanted to up his kills. I was so mad i stopped killing enemied and jsut melee'd him for the whole 4+ minutes, then I left the game. All of course while calling the guy every name in the book. Since then I race to get them so i dont run into another ****hole

I'm less inclined to grab the Pizza, actually.

I prefer to walk ahead and clear the path/cover the pizzaboy/girl's ass as they make their way to the LZ.

Carrying that pizza is high risk, you'd think those Cerberus guys got served nothing else...

I always try to pick it up myself because some people just don't seem to realize that the shortest path is not always the best. Have seen to many pizza guys trying to cross an open area with multiple phantoms on the map. If you drop the package in a bad spot on gold vs cerberus during wave 10 no amount of rockets will help you.

I want the pizza because I tend to avoid congestion and get it to the delivery zone in 30 minutes or less.

Otherwise I run the risk of someone else saying; "Hey. You cleared that path tyvm, but I wonder if those Banshees want pizza."

I scramble for the pizza when I'm playing with friends b/c I'm insecure being the lowest scorer in the game. The pizza makes me feel like I'm helping. Image IPB

I try to get it first, especially on Hydra, because randoms generally don't know the best path.

I was in a PUG once where the guy was trying to take it across the elevated portion when he died. I grabbed the pizza after reviving him, because I didn't want him dying again and risk having the pizza fall through the floor.

He seemed pretty upset by this.

I always rush to the pizza if I have opportunity to do so. If I get there first, I pick it up. If someone else has it already, I do my best to protect and assist the carrier.

Bear in mind I mostly play with randoms, but it seems like whenever the delivery objective comes up, everyone races to get to the pizza first. I don't understand this. You don't get any points for delivering the objective (For people who play for points), an Asari Adept shouldn't delive the pizza when there's a Vorcha with health regen that's ready and willing to do it. Why do people want to do this objective so badly?

The problem with randoms is that you don't know the guys, so you wont trust the mission to them. I hate when I could do something and someone go there and do it, but I get why, and I stay together, cleaning the path. Anyway, I prefer the wrong guy doing the objective than a team that don't do the objective at all...

From an MMORPG player's perspective, that's a tank's job. If there is a Krogan Sentinel in the group, why should a Drell Adept do it? The only reason this reasoning might not work is if the Sentinel has no idea what he's doing. And of course some people might argue that a geth has the movement speed to do it faster. I normally race to do it if I see that the pug has no idea what it's doing. In a good group this argument is null and void.

I wanted to do it because I had a 45% movement speed bonus. Also I don't like randoms doing because I've had quite a few of them get disconnected taking the delicous pizza with them.

If I'm a krogan I rush for it and headbutt spam while walking backwards/sideways in order to move a bit faster. I'll do the same for other class/race combos but always enjoy delivering the pizza as krogan.

Sometimes I'll run for the pizza, other times I'll run to the delivery zone, to clear the approach and prevent spawns there.

It's amazing how few players realize how important that is.

I do it because I'm hoping to get a tip from the pilot. That cheap bastard still hasn't tipped me ever after all my on-time deliveries.

Yeah, I rush to get the device. What happens if the carrier goes down? Someone's going to run across the map to go pick up him and the package? That often leads to squad wipes. Ideal strategy is three people head for the package, the two that don't pick it up start clearing out two paths to the LZ and picking off whatever gets too close. The fourth guy can either fight enemies off the LZ or go somewhere else and try to draw bigger targets away. Personally, if I'm playing my sniper infiltrator, I'll find higher ground and play guardian angel and help lessen the load of my teammates down below. The strategy is a lot different than the activate/deactivate mission. Sending an infiltrator to cloak doesn't work since holding the package breaks cloak and having an asari justicar go and drop a barrier doesn't work since you need to be mobile.
