Will avoid further Pre-Orders as well.Sorry to say but will only buy after multiple video reviews+talk/analysis.
Funny...for me its the other way around after Extended Cut. I will buy Day 1 the next ME game , even if it is an Elcor dance game.

But if they do make another game, I hope it's a sequel. It'll be interesting to see how they're going to make the ending choice inconsequential to the future of the setting.

In the ME sequel I'd prefer we play a character we have to make a name for. Not like Shepard who was a commander already. I also want more freedom of choice to be evil and betray different factions like KoTOR series.

I think if BioWare were to make a new ME game, what is stopping them from butchering it like they did ME3?
If they make a new ME game it will only degress the quality of a ME title and in my opinion should stop with ME3. BioWare needs to take a new approach and make somthing fresh and new. Some games just need to end and ME3 is where it should end.
It's almost like they did with the first 4 Superman movies with Christopher Reeve. First one was outstanding, second better than the first, 3rd not as good as 2 but stacked up with the first, Superman 4 on the other hand was like a badly written cartoon with very lame acting and story development. That is how I predict an new ME game would be like. A horrible rush job. and you would have enraged fans all over again. I want BioWare to progress and build as a developer not the other way. Only way for them to grow is to create something fresh and new.

You are comparing a hollywood films to a rich sci fi universe. ME has potential to be as big Star Wars why let it die? Fans like me want to see more stories based in the ME universe.

Prequel: story cannot grow effectively because it has to end up at a set destination
Sequel: the setting is too variant based on ME3 endings making it either impossible or forcing 'canon', which many players will resent
MMO: Requires a perpetual world which automatically means YOUR CHOICES DON'T MATTER, the same thing that made people hate ME3 endings
Spin-off: Probably the most tolerable for me of all the options, but it would just feel like recycled setting to save the work of creating something new
During: again, limited by having a set destination, but now it also needs to be more restricted still (else Shep would hear about what is happening, that sort of thing).
Sometimes series need to be put to rest if they've had a good run. Sometimes good things should end while people still like them instead of waiting for people to resent the Cash Cow status as they get into their eighth instalment. Perhaps it would be best if the team that worked on Mass Effect was now able to work on something fresh and new.
It was made clear that one of the reasons the ME team could be so free with the endings of ME3 and add.. that... variance (at least in theory) was that they didn't have to then group it all together again later.
