Why on god's green earth would you ever post in a topic that you have limited knowledge and faulty recollection about?

Also, I don't understand the fact that he mentions the haemoglobin thing just in ME3 as if it had gotten worse then, but as now it's something that really matters because his lungs are so bad that the haemoglobin problem really is a problem now, even if it's in heterocygosis. It's obvious that if it's genetic it can't get worse, but the fact that the infection did get worse makes the genetic problem more obvious.
And yes, what you say about the writer is what I meant. We should be discussing this for entertainment because if we're trying to get into the writers mind to see what they wanted to imagine about this disease I think we'll find nothing. They probably read something about CF, made up a disease and then added symptoms randomly. I doubt it goes further than that.
And I don't think you're annoyed, we're just discussing

Somehow I'm reminded of an Arabic proverb:
He who has knowledge and knows that he has it, he is wise! Follow him!
He who has knowledge but does not know that he has, he is asleep! Awaken him!
He who has no knowledge but knows he has none, he is unschooled! Teach him!
He who has no knowledge and does not know that he has none, he is a fool! Avoid him!
(Er, I hope I translated that so it makes sense, English-Swedish can be confusing sometimes
@earendil
No I don't think it's you, and I think I know which thread it is.

Thanks, I didn't get that. Nice proverb btw

- doesn't appear to be a progression of the bacterial infection/lung damage
- only symptoms mentioned in ME3, implying it is the most problematic and that it is a recent development
- no hint that the lungs/bacteria are involved at all suggesting that it is an entirely different disease.
I do think that they read about CF and based the disease on that in ME2, but with ME3 they clearly wanted to make it worse than all that, and threw in another random disease (probably based on sickle cell anaemia) without any attempt at linking the two, or even acknowledging the disease from ME2.
And I agree with Emerald, I don't think RShara was referring to you at all, I think it's from a different thread too

so no one can say that he may survive. he cannot carry oxygen anymore he has to die! <.< logical conesquences for not medicin/biologist.

Yeah, if they wanted just to kill him they should have continued with the lung disease and the massive infection, that's much worse than the malfunctional haemoglobin! that kind of blood problem solves with transfusions! they tried to make it worse and they made it so much easier, but killed him anyway XD c'mon!

Exactly! It seems they added the haemoglobin thing to worsen his condition so they could kill him, but they really didn't need to add all that nonsense, they simply could have had Thane in the 'last stages of Kepral's Syndrome' as it was described in ME2 and that would have been bad enough!

I am wondering why they had to chance Thane's disease. I would have been epic enough if he died by KL's stabbing. Maybe it would'v even been more dramatical because otherwise we could wonder if Thane could have survived long enough for a cure.

The person who made that edit, Stormwaltz, is Chris L'Etoile, Thane's original ME2 writer. Updated first post with this info

I think the last metrics I saw from some magazine or other was that ~30% of gamers were female. Not exactly reliable I knowBut all of my female friends are gamers, so I really doubt it's 99%
Obviously bioware has (should have) better statistics. But judging by the comparison, 2 straight LI's and 4 lesbian, as as woman i shouldn't fell attracted to the game, or feel taken serious...
But then again as a woman i would still prefer woman.
