Hi guys, I'm sure some of you have already heard about this but giftfish is running some polls for asking BioWare to make a Romance DLC. Although it's being called like that it actually would be about having more missions with the ME2 squad members and eventually improving the romances with them, not just Thane.

We need all the support we can get, so please, visit this link , read the post carefully and vote in the polls. Also, if you could spread the word to groups of any kind we would be most grateful

OK, here's my humble take on the Thane mission flowchart that includes Kolyat.

An FShep-specific choice I forgot to mention: if she decides to break up with Thane, he dies fighting Kai Leng as if he wasn't loyal.

If i made a mistake by linking the vid, i apologize. As is said i only speedrunned this topic and maybe i misunderstood that one of the points was that Thane should have killed KL. ( which i think should have happened)

To give some personal background, i lost my father (cancer 3 years)when he was 43,  1 sister died on cancer after a 7 year fight and i was with her every night during her 4 last weeks.

I think that is one of the reasons that i did not let have the scene in the Hospital with Thane and KL any impact on me.
I just shielded myself in that scene.

In my playtroughs all 3 games i didnt romance anyone. The main reason was i would not let myself getting in a emotional situation and taking the risk Bioware would take that away in a way that made no sence to me.

I see myself dooing the ssame IRL, I do let ppl get close (until a certain point) then i am shielding.
Off corse i love my friends, the family i do have left and my 2 cats.

Bumping this thread cause Thane deserves better!

I hate and I know hate is a pretty strong word...hate what bioware did to thane especailly with all the hints and hanging the Save Thane banner in their office...then they just kill him off like he meant nothing.....then nobody on the normandy mentions one thing about him or don't care that femshep just lost the love of her life,then to add more salt to the wound you get a rude email from...ugh I don't want to even mention that jerks name...how low can you get!

Whatever dlc Bioware comes out with in the near future...I just hope and pray they give us a chance to save Thane, him and femshep deserved better! If not then bioware can forget about getting another dime out of me!

I love your chart, I really does make a lot of sense that Kolyat should have been involved if he had been working for bailey. I guess BW were just too stingy to provide this kind of branching storyline

I see you c;ear;y have not played Mass Effect 2. If you did, you would know that Thane is quite an interesting character: an assassin who kills people using martial arts and suffers from a life threatening disease, as well as having family problems.

Every character has an aspect or aspects that make them 'the most interesting' for different people.. What one person finds great another will find boring..

I found Samara and the Justicars code to be interesting, so I wouldn't be 'lying' if I said she was the most interesting character it is my opinion.. and someone else might say she was bland and a waste of space again.. they wouldn't be 'lying' it is thier opinion.

And to get this thread back on topic: Thane's romance was shortchanged or at least I found it to be so.. unfortunatly it seems FemShep got short changed in the love department when it comes too ME 2 LI's.. (Not counting Garrus who was actually very good in ME 3)

Yeah we're not trying for a popularity contest We're asking for fair treatment of ALL romances. I just tend to concentrate on Thane because he's my fav, and the worst treated, other than poor Jacob.

Though this means more dialogue to be written and voiced, and new scripted scenes. The dialogue stuff is just too complex to me, though I'll try to have a shot.

"Thane working with the Crucible" thing can yield some additional mineral resources (based on that Thane's upgrade on the Normandy was doubling the number of probes). And we'll get to hear from him on Earth!
Thane remaining on the Citadel is potentially quite tragic because the fate of all the Citadel inhabitants is quite unclear even in the Extended Cut. Were they all killed, or only humans killed, or whatever?

Though Thane in Life Support as a non-playable shipmate... it does have its merits. Perhaps if Thane "works on the Crucible" and Dr. Chakwas is aboard, this could be an option.
