The more I think about this, the more I start to think it would be pretty cool. I'm still very much against a reunion at the end, but some new missions with Miranda and Jack would be pretty interesting, The Thane story arc, in my opinion, should stay as it is though.

As long as it contains some new missions and maybe a weapon, so that people who didn't romance this specific character can still have fun, I'm cool with this.

@garrusfan1: nawh, how can I be ofended? I know it is pretty difficult to guess people's gender here in the interwebs. Besides, you and everyone here have been very polite, I wish all thread in the BSN are just as peaceful =)

@Brovikk Rasputin: I think it's already being stated in the OP that this is pretty much a pre-ending kinda thing.. Although I would be one of those who whould feel (ubberly) happy to have a reunion scene inserted, but even if not then I won't be loosing sleep over it either ;)

Did the survey - and basically, it's all about Ash for me.

I'm going to post an idea for a VS Romance DLC, but I know 90% of the guys here don't bother with either VS. Well ... at least I'm trying, huh?

I'm open to more LI options. Regarding Tali'Zorah, the human look is perfect. All BioWare needs to do is fix the damn picture. Fix the clothing, the background and the damn hand. Also, let us see her face in-game.

All this, and I want to take her to Purgatory for some awkward dancing. :P

Also I couldn't believe Bioware took out the ability to call up our LI, wish they would put in back in.

I concur about the dancing. BW needs to implement that for all squaddies, imo.

Can you imagine Legion or Grunt dancing? LOL....

I would totally pay to see Tali unmasked and to have more dialouge and time with her.
I really like the human look the gave Tali and the quarians but would like it to not be a photo of some model and to actually see her face as an in-game model. Maybe  make it possible for Shepard to buy some upgrades for his cabin to make it possible for Tali to stay there unmasked?
Really hope the poll can make a difference :)

This is my own favorite version of Tali.  She looks a bit like Scarlett Johansson, imo.

@ OP:

I added my little thoughts in this special thread:
Romance DLC - Virmire Survivor

And I'd suggest fans of other LIs should create such threads too - one for Liara, one for Team Dextro ... whatever. Since I believe a single Romance DLC won't cover all wishes or becomes too expensive on the long run and some Romances would still feel like a rush job.

This is nearly a copy/paste from what I put on the final part of the survey, but I figured it couldn't hurt to throw it on this thread, too.

I believe the romances could greatly benefit from simple mechanical additions as well - inviting LIs up to the cabin has already been addressed, and my thinking is along those lines.

For example: I would like to receive more mail from them, even if the content of the mail is more casual conversation than anything significant. Similar to the datapad app, but in-game. I would also like to be able to take an LI with me around the Citadel much like in the first two games, or at least have "date" points where I can grab a drink or eat lunch with them (which could just be looping animations like spooning in the cabin in ME2).

I also think it could be neat to see some small items around Shepard's cabin to signal that the LI has been there - a sniper rifle on the desk for Garrus, some tools/house blueprints on the coffee table for Tali, poetry books on the night stand for Ashley, etc. Just to make the cabin feel more lived in.

I think simple additions like these could add a great feeling of comfort and security to the romances.

I voted mostly to get improvements to the ME2 romances and get more male LI's for the straight Fem!sheps.

I just hope that if BW released this DLC, that it's free. Some of us were expecting this from ME3 without having to fight for it (insert: fight for the lost theme < here) or having to pay extra.

I see your point.

At the same time, if Bioware does go ahead with the implementation of this DLC or something related to it, they are going to do it in the most practical and cost effective way possible.  While we are proposing a single DLC, we are also open to and are providing other suggestions (multiple DLCs, ME1/ME2/ME3 LI DLCs, etc).  In short, Bioware is going to implement the DLC the way they see fit.  We can provide suggestions, but that's all they are.  I'm not sure they warrant separate threads, though I understand your concern that they might try to moosh too much into a single DLC.

If people want to create these threads, that's their call, but it's a good idea to keep the following in mind:

1. There are already separate character threads for most of the LIs.  Your suggestion would overlap their functionality a good bit, and therefore, the discussions will likely overlap as well.  This splits up the discussion and makes communication more difficult.

2. I think it's to our advantage to keep as many suggestions related to Romance DLC as possible, within in a single thread, to maintain maximum visibility. Since this thread seems to have gained the most traction, this would be a good place.  This ensures that the thread stays active and on the first couple pages of the Story/Campaign forum.  Once you  start breaking things up, threads are going to lose traction and fall off the radar.

3.  One of the main purposes of this thread is to collect information from players.  This allows Bioware to have somewhat of a "one stop shop" as far as ideas go.    I can keep up with this thread relatively easily, but I won't be able to keep up with a half a dozen threads of ideas. It could very well result in this thread being less productive if everyone starts breaking up the discussion across several more specific threads, beacause they will no longer be posting here.

Remember, strength in numbers.

Sadly unlikely, I think. I'm amazed they even offered the EC for free; they probably feared how much more the backlash would escalate if they charged for it. The complaints about the romance content are minute in comparison to the whole ending debacle, so I don't think they'd get away with giving it away for free even if they wanted to.

Well, you have mine ... ^^

The fan threads are not the best places to discuss such stuff in detail. It's okay to exchange some ideas here, but for anything serious, it's a good idea to have a separate thread.

Also, the reason why I put Kaidan and Ashley into one thread is to get a bigger number of supporters. I'm well aware the Ashley fandom is slowly dying off since ME3!Ashley doesn't attract new players. Kaidan's fandom on the other hand appears far more healthy, thanks to Kaidan's new bi!romance arc.
Kaidan also got displayed in a more positive way and he's the only male human romance for fem!Shep in ME3 - while Ashley has to compete against Miranda, Jack and Liara (if you consider her as human enough).

However: one thread per DLC should be enough.

In that case we could use this thread to discuss generic features while the particular threads should be used to discuss the features dedicated to that particular set of LIs.

Just thinking ^^

Also: this thread works well to gather voices for an outcry: We, the fans, want to pay for DLCs improving romances in Mass Effect 3!

Exactly.

Your thread is the foundation, the particular threads for each set of LIs could be used to discuss those LIs and find out what people really want.

As you can see in my thread, I do have very special requests dealing with Ashley and Kaidan - those requests, however, don't work with Liara, Garrus or Traynor, for example. And discussing special requests in the generic thread won't help anyone except cluttering this thread.

That's why.
Sorry if I did something wrong ^_^

You didn't do anything wrong.  All suggestions are welcome.  But, as I said, I am skeptical.

When I started the thread, several people commented that the threads posted like this previously fell off the radar pretty quick.  Now that we have some traction I don't want to put that at risk, by breaking up the discussions into smaller threads.

In addition, I'm honestly not sure that we need: separate character threads, a main romance DLC thread, and then additional Romance DLC subthreads, each pertaining to the "type" of Romance DLC that some of us envision should be released.  That's alot of places to try to look for some of the same information.

It also means that people who have multiple ideas about Romance DLC have to hunt down different threads and post in multiple places, rather than just posting everything here in the same thread.

But, like I said, I can't stop anyone.  However, I won't be able to spend additional time combing these new threads for suggestions.  If new starters of threads want their suggestions to appear in this thread, they will have to make a post here for me to see it.  I am happy to put links to the new threads, however, and if you think I am missing important suggestions that have been made for Ashley or Kaidan in this thread, please bring my attention to them, and I will be more than happy to include them.

On a different note, the survey tally is currently sitting at a bit over 2000 :)

Great job, folks!

It's not me, actually.

The folks over at HTL made the survey using alot of the suggestions posted here, and will be using a program to run statistics on it. Still alot of work, yes, but maybe not quite as much as you imagine, lol!
