That's a very logical point there.

Maybe we should start a charity for infiltrators and all the proceeds will be donated towards un****ing tactical cloak

While the LI additions for all the other characters would be great (I still have no idea why Bioware decided to do such a poor job on Tali's face), Bioware has already stated that it will not be adding the option to cure Thane.

Where is the logic in making DLC which people don't want?

I also think that the possibility of a DLC of this kind is almost... Zero, but you know I'm a dreamer and do this survey will not take almost any time... so hoping is good and... survey done! ^_^

Again, if a survey shows that a lot of people are willing to pay for this, why do people think that Bioware/EA will make there own DLC no one wants?

I read Tully Awkland's personal opinion, what about it ? Has he been promoted to lead writer ?

Biowares state of affairs isn't going to be so poor that one miniute a Bioware employee is explaining why Thane is very unlikely to be cured in DLC, then the next miniute, Bioware changes it's mind and saves Thane.

When you first meet Thane in ME2, he tells you he's dying of an incurable disease. It completely undermines his prediciment if you can just find a cure for him.

Look if you are going to try to teach me about Thane's story you are going to have to actually read it.

Start here and come back when you know at least a little about what you are talking about.
http://social.biowar...ndex/12868447/1

Bullet point list:

1. There was no cure, despite CDN mention of Medigel for the lungs, the hanar cure, and Thane's transplant candidacy, mentioned in ME2 and Lair of the Shadow Broker.
2. Thane was not at peace with his death. He was not prepared to die. He was never destined to die.
3. He did not go out with "a bang," the heroic death that he wanted (if not romanced). A cure would not trivialize his death.
4. There's barely any difference between a friendShep's dialogue and a romanceShep's.  THANE DOES NOT EVEN UNLOCK THE PARAMOUR ACHIEVEMENT!
5. There's no shared mission with Thane. The side mission that really should have been his went to... Kasumi??
6. The death scene was impersonal, the same for both friendShep and a romanceShep's.
7. After he died, no one save Kai-Leng mentioned Thane's name again. No chance for Shepard to mourn or talk about him with others, romanced or not.

Ps.. as for Bioware's state of affairs ? They actually promoted a Save Thane campaign on Facebook after ME2. While their writer was assassinating the character...

Okay let me put it this way. Yes there are some people who might not want this dlc. But what about the players who had romances in Me2 to only have them vastly treated like they were just flings. Again you may not like the idea of this dlc but there are alot of other ppl who want some of their LI's fleshed out more, hell I'll pay for a LoTSB style dlc for my LI's. Now since a might've gotten off topic, back to your question is yes considering Bioware's practically owned by EA the only language they now listen to is $$$$!

Um... actually Shepard does mention Thane's name when he/she shoves a blade through Kai.
The renegade interupt when you're in TiM's lounge HQ.

But a proper verbal talk between characters? you speak truth.

And one reason for this survey is to gauge interest and how much people would be willing to spend to show Bioware that there is financial gain to be had from creating this DLC.

ME1 is not on PS3, so that must be one of the decisions they make for you in ME2

This is meant to be a positive thing. The survey was put together to show that there is greater interest in more time with our LIs. I do empathize with those that had LIs in ME2, I had one as well in at least one of my PTs. This survey is meant to gauge interest to see if people would pay to have more time, or to have a DLC mission character-centric. The likelihood of getting any of this is pretty slim, I mean we're all realistic in this. I know I would pay for more time, and I've taken the survey to show as much--I'd like an actual playable DLC that showed more background of the LIs, or even helped them along the way in garnering more war assets, etc. But there's no harm in trying to do something like this. And if we do it as a large group, who knows?

@ saber00005:  Yep, there is talk of posting the new survey results somewhere.  We're still talking that through, so I'll let everyone know as soon as I know something :)

@ Brovikk Rasputin:  Glad to see that you think this idea could be some fun for you.  While I respectfully disagree with you about Thane's story arc, I do respect your right to play the game in your own way.

@ AlphaDormante: Really interesting suggestion regarding the addition of some items related to your LI in Shep's cabin.  That could be very cool.

Remember to keep the debates minimal, folks.  And, always in a respectful manner.  Most of this should be done in the character threads.  Feel free to post links to relevant threads/posts etc.

About to update the first post with new suggestions from yesterday.  Keep them coming folks!

I'll try to get an updated count on the survey, asap!

UPDATE:  Ok, so the news I alluded to before is already ready here...

The
polls here and on HTL served as a good litmus test to see how much
support this DLC has.  Results were overall, very positive.

The
folks over at HTL have now put together a new survey that is more
exhaustive, but will still only take about 5 minutes of your
time...maybe 10 if you want to include comments :)

This survey
is similar in part to some of the questions you have already answered
but there are some important differences...read on.

IMPORTANT DETAILS:

1. This survey will only be up for one week.  The goal is to get as many responses as possible.  5000 would be good.
.
2. The survey was created using the suggestions in the HTL and BSN Romance DLC threads.

3. Results will be subjected to a statistical analysis and summarized in a report that will be sent to Bioware.

Click here to take the new survey and show yoru support for ME3 Romance DLC!!

IF YOU VOTED IN THE BSN POLLS, PLEASE TAKE THE TIME TO  FILL OUT THIS SURVEY.
