IMHO Shiala (That green Asari) had a perfect Squadmate and LI role set up for her. She even flirted with Shepard. She got ditched in the third one, same with Kasumi.

Hey folks--

Looking for some input on something.

Survey results that I detailed in this week's "Focus Friday" are really promising.  It looks like most people would be willing to pay $10 for Romance DLC, and honestly, I don't think a single DLC would need to include all the LIs.  I  think it could be released in a fashion like so... 

Multiple, smaller DLCs maybe focusing on a few different characters:

--Liara + Kasumi + Thane >> romance content + mission Kahje
--Miranda + Jack + Jacob  >> romance content + Cerberus mission
--Garrus + Samara + Samatha + Steve  >> romance content + maybe something on Palaven and...?
--Tali + Kaidan + Ashley  >> romance content + some stuff on Rannoch and...?

With at least 1 super popular character in every one of these, I  think they would all sell well, even to folks that didn't romance any of the LIs in a specific one.  Also, I think they'd all be worth $10 bucks each, which is what people seem to be most willing to pay.  Maybe they could even create a discount if you bought all 4 as a "Paramour Pack" for $30 -- essentially, if you buy 3 you get the last one for free.

Anyone else have other ideas about different character combinations and missions that would make sense for those characters? 

Putting Liara in the Kahje pack sort of makes sense with the Hanar worshipping the Protheans, all the ruins that are supposed to be on Kahje, etc. I included Kasumi in that one, as well, because of some leaked script thing I remember floating around including her in a similar mission. Having Jack/Miranda/Jacob in a Cerberus-related DLC is pretty straight-forward.  The other ones are more difficult, though. 

Do folks have any ideas?

I've already thought over a Jack/Miranda DLC. I'm not sure at all how to tie Jacob into there and having a single DLC with 4 completely seperate missions... I don't think there's room in 2 GBs for anything LotSB styled stuff.

I think you might be misunderstanding my suggestion. 

I'm saying that at least in the case of the first 2 I have listed, it is one mission, involving all of those specific characters.   A single Cerberus mission and a single mission to Kahje.  But, in addition to the missions there is additional attention paid to romance-related content, an option to save/cure/lengthen Thane's life, an alternate storyline for a romanced Jacob, etc.

The other 2 aren't as "easy".  However, neither Sam or Steve are squadmates, nor do you ever take them on a mission, so having the option to integrate them into a "Garrus" themed mission to Palavan might work nicely.

Like I said -- certainly looking for suggestions

Oooh.  Now that is a very good idea, my friend.  BW killed off Ree'gar on Palavan, didn't they?

And he has a ton of support for being a new LI.  In addition, FemShep has so few hetero options, this would give them an opportunity to add a new LI to the mix....

Personally, I  LOVED  Reegar, and was pissed when BW decided ot be like..."oh, sorry, he's dead now".  Wtf was that?

I think I  popped in when it first came out, but not recently.  But, yes, if BW would make a Palavan DLC, it should certainly include the Garrus content that Romance DLC  supporters have commented on, as well as an option to save Reegar

Liara/Kasumi/Thane/Javik*
Kasumi could easily be written in a Kahje
plot considering she already got hold of intel about Kahje previously.
As for Liara, her homeworld comic ties her in nicely in a scenario like
this. (Just please no Quoyle/Mr Mutant drell *shudders*)

As for
enemies in that scenario, both the Reapers and Cerberus are prob. fair
game. From Kasumi's side mission we know that the Reapers are targeting
Kahje, and Liara's comic does show that T.I.M has an interest in
Prothean intel (It doesn't necessarily need to be intel pertaining to
the Crucible). Psst...Feron can join in as a cameo on this mission if
he's alive.

The Miranda/Jacob/Jack (perhaps Kelly too?) combo
makes sense, so long as Cerberus is the "bad guy". Not much to add on
that one I suppose. Except, Mess Sergeant Gardner should get a cameo. XD

The
Garrus/Samara/Samantha**/Steve*** scenario is tricky...If Palaven is
off the board, then Taetrus (Turian colony that suffered from a
terrorist attack) perhaps? Something about refugees from Palaven?
Recruiting additional turian forces?

It would be a good
oppurtunity to meet Garrus' folks (they could have escaped Palaven). As
for Samara's role. I'm pulling a blank slate on this one. Perhaps an
indoctrinated turian comitted atrocious crimes on an asari world?
(Pulling at plot straws over here)

Tali/Kaidan/Ashley/James****.
Virmire? Perhaps some remnant Reaper forces/Geth? Or, perhaps
Feros/Noveria? Anything involving Kaidan/Ashley could easily tie-in with
a ME1 location. Besides, Shiala/Parasini anyone?

The biggest problem I had with my LI, was the lack of sex. I mean, ash and I saved the galaxy in the first game, then I died and came back from the dead to stay loyal to her through the events of ME2. Only to be reunited with her and constantly be dogged about the cerberus issue which really pissed me off.. and not to have sex until the final mission to Earth? Come on!!!

After the events on the citadel I should have been banging her bones! I've never romanced liara, but with tali we should be knocking boots after rannoch and able to go to bed any time we want!

(poll/voted) i would pay $10 for a romance dlc, but if it had

-the length and quality of Leviathan

-new guns plus some from MP

-new armor for Shep and Crew

-new powers. My Infiltrator FemShep needs a sword. and Hunter Mode.


Im willing to pay more if it had these things and even more for FemShep Tali LI . My vote for $10 dlc was what i felt comfortable paying for, but if it has the things i want, a higher price wouldn't be an issue.

I would happily pay $20 for equal romantic treatment for FemShep, increased companion interaction overall (not just romance related), and better treatment for ME2 relationships (in particular the FemShep ones).
