I might be a Thane-girl, but I agree that Jacob, and almost all the LIs need some serious love from BW.

I think BW is well aware that there is a serious want for blue babies. I'm trying to only put in the inital post what I think we have any shot of getting.

Not that there won't be blue babies (or green ones for that matter), but maybe I can include something about "dialogue options regarding the future"...

I would love a Romance DLC, but I have always really liked the idea of integrating romance into a juicy Story DLC. Something that gives us a chance to play with some of our favorite characters (even the non-romanced ones), while adding more quality romance content to the LI squaddies we have had over the past games. I have wrote up an outline of a DLC like this (admittedly it has Thane aspects that are a bit more flushed out since he is my LI of choice), and I will submit it here later for anyone to view,tear apart, get a good laugh out of.......ya gets da point!

So as it stands, I am good with anything that brings in more LI content (fixing those that need some TLC), and that can come in the form of a Romance DLC pack or something like I suggested above......will post outline later.

I really really like that idea.  And I'm looking forward to reading your outline (especially because it's Thane related =P).

Even if Thane's content is him and Sheppard meeting "across the ocean" after Sheppard sacrifices herself, any more time with Thane would be appreciated.

Totally agree!

I'm not a Jacobmancer either but the way he got treated...the way Thane got treated is despicable!
I would hope if we do get a Romance dlc  that there would be an option to save Thane too!

As someone who has said that I won't be touching any DLC that doesn't involve something post-game (because, to me, DLC that's aimed toward EMS and whatnot is bloody pointless) but, if BW came out with this kind of DLC I'd be all over it like scale-itch on the Normandy crew.

Ha. Very true.  A gift system could be fun, but I don't see them implementing an entirely new system like that into a DLC

So here's my question. I laud your aim here, and I wouldn't be opposed to an LI DLC, but how do you propose to get Bioware to actually make one? Assuming you want one to actually happen, you'll somehow need to restart another Retake movement that can get Bioware to undo its statement about not redoing the endings, and somehow gain enough support to counteract the fact that most players don't romance anyone.

How will this actually be done?

Out of curiousity: Would you be opposed to the possibility of Thane surviving only if romanced? If so, why?
 
Personally I'd have a hard time seeing why anyone would object to that...

Somewhat more on-topic: The actual form of the DLCs.

Some people have mentioned linking them into story-based DLCs. The main problem is of course that characters can be kinda dead from the Suicide Run in ME2. Problematic.

A solution is needed for this potentially awkward situation, as dragging dead-and-probably-atomized bodies around is generally considered something of a social faux pas: So we make the DLCs not *quite* character specific.

Now you're staring at the screen thinking "what the hell is this idiot going on about?"

Clarification: Make the story of the DLC one that suits a character such as Thane or Jack - and if they're alive they can be used in it to achieve a better result or greater effect over anyone else - But they don't have to be alive for the DLC to be used.

Now realistically I'm aware that it could be a logistical nightmare, but it IS an idea.

Any more thoughts on this or should I just shut up and go back to making lame puns?
