Of course I'd choose Synthesis.
Refuse means sacrificing the future on the altar of a principle. It is a choice for those who are so self-centered as to think their own morality is more important than the life of billions. A detestable attitude.
Synthesis is being gullible enough to think your enemy couldn't possibly be misleading you with the "too good to be true" option. I'd steer clear of all tv ads if I were you
At least with Reject we know we'll be wiped out; with Synthesis we might wish we had been

Me, personally? Refuse. I set out to DESTROY the Reapers. Not make nice. Not controll them. I set out to eliminate them. Add in both Sovie and Harbie spit in my face when I offered truce, I don't think synthesis could work. Just not convinced. So, refuse due to the fact the next civilization destroys the Reapers.
I lose the battle, but win the war. That's enough for me. But like I said, my Shep has other ideas.

Bunnies. I can make a stew out of them.
And then all we'll need is a few good 'taters.

...sorry I just had to say that. Back on topic.
I was wondering. I was under the assumption that everyone dies with refuse. Is that so?

This discussion is a bit moot if the next Cycle gets to our point and goes Synthesis anyway.
... if Refuse let the next cycle kick the Reapers in their daddybags, the choice would be less of a wall banger.

I can see it happening in the next cycle, when the Pyjaks are the dominant race, a Reaper drops out of the sky...
