Refuse means sacrificing the future on the altar of a principle. It is a choice for those who are so self-centered as to think their own morality is more important than the life of billions. A detestable attitude.

Synthesis is being gullible enough to think your enemy couldn't possibly be misleading you with the "too good to be true" option. I'd steer clear of all tv ads if I were you

Honestly? My Shep would ride the beam back to Earth, blow up the Crucible, tell everyone what's going on, and give the Reapers bloody **** before he and the Universe went down in a blaze of glory.

Me, personally? Refuse. I set out to DESTROY the Reapers. Not make nice. Not controll them. I set out to eliminate them. Add in both Sovie and Harbie spit in my face when I offered truce, I don't think synthesis could work. Just not convinced. So, refuse due to the fact the next civilization destroys the Reapers.

I lose the battle, but win the war. That's enough for me. But like I said, my Shep has other ideas.

Organic species deserve a chance to self-determinate, and so do the geth or any other sentient species. I refuse (no pun intended) to rape the entire galaxy just to survive. Shepard is not a god, and neither is the catalyst. We came here to destroy the reapers or die trying. Death before dishonor.
