I just spent an hour working on a stage and I saved it and exported it without dependencies to try it. After that I exported my areas with dependencies and the toolset crashed. When I reopened the toolset my stage file was there but it was blank and a lot of other stuff i did got erased. This is like the third time this has happened to me. I work on areas, save them export them however I can and when I reopen the toolset they are blank or half the stuff i worked on is gone. How do i save it properly?
how do you save? this is getting very annoying...

I've noticed there are a LOT of very basic things about the toolset that aren't immediately obvious, that no tutorial, wiki or help site covers. I'm proficient in C++, but damn if I can figure out how to do anything in this program. Wish I could help you.

Maybe I'm taking the OP too literally, but saving an area doesn't necessarily save any of the objects in it.
When you edit a stage (or any other object), you need to save it.
