You don't. To the best of my knowledge, you can't launch video (other than via ending the game). You could set up a cutscene outside the player area, and use cameras there.

B*****r,
I don't want to have wasted all the time I spent making the darned thing
You are right there is a vid option on the end game script. I will have a look at that.

Hmmmm not much to that script is there
I see now this is a scripting problem, I need to move forum location and ask again there.
Thanks Kamal_

In NWN, you would split your Module into two, and 'end' it when you play the video, the begin with the new module (which could play another video at that time, actually). Perhaps the same is true of NWN2?

Thanks, that is an interesting possibility.

yes, videos can be played only from the start and the end of a module. if you don't want to split a module into two you could also simulate a video with single frames/pictures within dialogues. with the right sounds in the background the immersion should be the same.

Videos at the end of a module actually end the play session. You play the video and then the main menu comes up. I'm pretty sure you can't auto launch another mod from the main menu.
You can use TGAs in a convo to do a slide show...I've done that several times.

Extending this, has anyone added a video to thier work?
I have located the place to do so but the drop down menu did not have my video as a chice, They are in the video folder. It does refer to a video called tower which is not there?
I went in search of a 2da but there is none that I can see (at least one with the word video in it, apart from a quality one).
Any help wouldbe much appresciated. In the meantime I will try putting the video into the campaign folder and see if it sees that.

Is the movie in the right format? NWN2 movies need to be in the .bik format and you can grab a converter for that online. Then the movie files need to be in the movies folder in the MyDocs NWN2 folder.

Path of Evil has movies. The movies are module properties iirc.

I have those bits right, though I will check again.
As well I will check I am setting up the video to the module, though again, I think I have that right. I still have the movies from betrayal in there as well and I can't see those.
Thanks for the replies,

Okay I have the answer.
I went looking for the .bik I could see and it turned out to be in my overide. It was from the icewind dale install. So I put my file into my campaign folder and it saw it no problem.
It all now works though I am having second thoughts about the video
I think that perhaps if you are working from a mod then the module looks for a module asset which is in the movies folder if you are working from a campaign it looks to the campaign folder or perhaps the .hak.
Thanks for the help, if anyone can confirm or not my thoughts I may pop a tutorial into the sticky once I am done with the module.
