If I had synthetic components implanted into me, would I immediately feel no animosity to synthetics who killed my family and  friends and destroyed my planet? Probably not. So I have trouble understanding Synthesis.

It is highly unlikely and unexplanable how in the world would billions and billions of individuals of different species wound suddenly "tune in" to the vibe and start smoking a peace pipe with the Reapers. Just doesn't make too much sense.

Is is because synthesis is a deterrent? So from now on no organic or synthetic can formulate something to kill only either race, because that would mean destruction of themselves. For example, a device similar to Destroy cannot be ever used anymore because that would destroy all people, since they have undergone synthesis.

You do exactly what the Bioware writers said happens in Synthesis.

Become one with the Reapers.

That said, this is just what the Synthesis crowd wants to happen. It's still their 'good' ending.

It doesn't erase the past or make you forget it, but it removes the core reason for the original conflict between organics and synthetics and thus the reason for the conflict between the galaxy and the Reapers.
Now, i'm sure not everyone threw down their weapons and ran to dryhump the nearest reaper, but i'm pretty sure that given the choice between fighting them and not fighting them, it was a pretty easy choice to everyone.
