Now that the extended cut is out, I've decided to sit down and write myself a reunion fic (Mass Effect: Aftermath) and, from what I've already started, I couldn't help but think some interesting DLC could be made.

Basically, Shepard is in the Hospital following the events of High EMS Destroy and everyone is waiting in the hospital for him to come out of coma or whatever. While everyone is gathered, they look at some pictures and articles of Shepard before the time of Mass Effect. I suppose, if you don't have high EMS Destroy, it could be everyone at the memorial or something instead of the hospital.

Basically, its a complete side story for the game. You get the usual character creation screen but it ages down your Shepard to the apropreate ages for each Shepard Pre-Service Histrory, which would be around 14-18 (16 is definite for Colonist Shepard) and later Career History, which would be 22-24 (Skylien Blitz would have to be apart of every Shepard though. Joker states that you were there for that no matter your background).

I suppose it might take some liberties with Shepard's character, but I think it could be done without ruining people's ideas of Shepard's early years if given enough dialogue options.

Just a small thought that crossed my head and though I should share.
