Look at Topic. And discuss. I personally think that though the desicion was made ages ago...they still had plenty of opportunities to share with the rest of the Galactic community post Me1.

They are among the winners, they helped in the final battle, that's the only thing we must take into account after the war. We need to rebuild, and we need the Asari. What was done before the war doesn't matter anymore.

Is there such a thing as 'punishment' in the peace love and green glowy eye utopia that is Synthesis?

Whoa, lets not get inhumane. Stockings are good to go though.

They have to do 10 push ups each.

Twisted, I know.

Never thought of it actually. After the war it just seems like a trivial issue. I'm not even sure if the facts would leave the military and so kept hidden from the public.

yes...serious sanctions.

BUT...the galaxy is a mess...there will be no sanctions but im sure the position the Asari once held, one of respect and prominence, will be gone. They will be looked upon less favorably as a whole.

Seems kind of pointless when everyone should be focusing on rebuilding.

After rebuilding maybe. Though I'm not sure punishment would work since a lot of those involved are dead. As long as it's remembered and never happens again would be enough.

Can we make them dress up as French Maids at least?;)

The only punishment would be to share that technology. I can't condemn an entire race based on the actions of the government. Since my ending is synthesis, it won't matter that much.

By the way, which city on Thessia did we visit? Was it Armali? Or Serrice?

The asari have been punished: the Fall of Thessia.

Karma dishes out more punishment than we could ever hope manage.  The asari were selfish, arrogant, and self-righteous... and they paid the price. Let them be.

At one point in the game you walk into Liara's office and glyph tells her about people hoarding prothean tech. Her response tells you everything you need to know about what to do with the Asari. "I'm sure the council will forgive that for helping with the crucible"

That issue always confused me. Everyone took it for granted that the Asari had advanced technology; I always thought that the fact that they had access to special Prothean technology was a given, and common suspicion if not knowledge.

the asari? NOPE....they sent the BIGGEST SHIPS....not the biggest fleet.

and again....a ORGANZIED and UNITED government will forgive the asari....but prejudice towards them will abound

I think having their race nearly wiped out was a fair punishment.

The asari should get punished SEVERELY imo.  The whole "oh well they helped eventually to fight the reapers" is not really a strong position.

The entire galaxy could have been ready to fight the reapers decades ago had the information in the Prothean Beacon been studied carfully.

The "refusal" ending comes to mind - only instead of our cycle helping the next, it would have been prothean cycle securing our own.

Lets not forget the the entire GALAXY was thrown into turmoil and war because of the Asari's arrogance and blatant disregard of established laws.  If the Asari were the only race to suffer then that would be one thing.  But when you threaten the existence of the entire galaxy then someone has to pay - if they are still alive.

The entire asari goverment should be kicked in the ovaries.
