No.  They need to face the same punishment they deemed for Sonax for the exact same crime.  Death.

Do we really need to go around pointing fingers over issues that came to light over the war? I don't think so. I think we need to move on and instead of look to the past, look to the present, and keep an eye on the future. We need to rebuild the galaxy. What happened happened. It's done. Move on and make sure there is a civilization to build from.

Right, let's just forgive all crimes that everyone everywhere has committed.

No.  The tentacleheads reponsible need to meet their damned goddess.

They are shown to just bypass planets numerous times.  They have zero problems with waiting.

Except when they get bored with waiting and just zerg rush the galaxy. :wizard:

Problem with that is that the Reapers clearly have a plan of attack, and they don't get bored per se.

I know enough about Reaper strategy, that I'm willing to gambit resources now to generate resources later. It won't work forever, but it'll give me a better chance in the long run.

This is an old thread, so I probably suggested a good spanking in it already. But it bears repeating.

I don't like the Asari any more than you. I see their faults and problems as well. But now is the time to move on, not to forgive or forget if you don't want to, but just let it go. We have a future now, one free of the Reapers. I'd rather focus on building on that with Miranda than going back to stir up **** again.

I'm not suggesting punishing a race.  I'm suggesting punishing people whose selfishness preventing the Crucible from being ready and waiting for the Reapers when they showed up.  Human, asari, batarian, doesn't matter.  The people responsible for that need to get what's coming to them.

^ Only if Hackett is punished as well. Who knows how many lives could've been spared if someone else had been put in charge. Like say, a Turian. Any Turian.

But the thing is, the Crucible was ready and waiting. It worked didn't it? People died, but that was to be expected. The Asari ****ed up bad. The most I'm going to do is watch them more carefully. But I'm not going to commit to punishing a government that was most likely already destroyed by the Reapers.

Plus we're going to need the Asari to help with the rebuilding. If nothing else, they're more boots and hammers to keep things going.

Boots and hammers? Not likely. Joker has the right idea though. More likely they'll be morale for the actual boots and hammers.

And that needs to be prevented. With Shepard in charge, that will happen. I'm all for pulling them up and making them all contribute to rebuilding, as I was with fighting. Everyone needs to pitch in. That can be punishment enough, seeing all the Asari refugee's who never had to do a hard day's work.

Denied by the epilogue slides and Hacketts destroy speech.

The asari play a prominent role in rebuilding the galaxy (at least in the destroy ending) and they're certainly no pariah race.

I believe by punishment, instead of taking away power, to bring all the other species up to the same level of power as the Asari. If they fall behind then and get turned into space ****s will suck anything for 5 credits, then they earned it.

Because having the Batarians, Vorcha and Krogan on the same level playing field, politically and/or militarily as the Asari or Turians sounds like a great idea!

On the contrary, a Krogan Councilor would do wonders to help the Council with its decision making.

*muffled screams*

Bailey: *sigh* Sounds like the Krogan Councilor just attacked the Salarian one again. Someone grab the wheelchair. And don't forget the medigel this time!

I guess Wrex & Bakara (sp?) aren´t very happy towards batarians after I told them of the Dalatrass´s plans for the Krogan, and considering their goverment tried to sit out the war, plan on uplifting the Yagh and Javik knows what more, I actually expect that to happen from time to time.

Oops! Forgot the Medigel again (as long as the Councilor is not the one from ME3).

Post war galaxy, at least on Destroy (as in Synthesis everybody´s friends, and Control Big Shepard is watching), the political situation can be very interesting. Salarians are major power, humans, turians and asari have taken heavy loses, quarians are probably restting on Rannoch and minding their own bussiness, batarians are practically wiped as a society (sadly a good thing), so I guess the galaxy will need the Krogan to balance out the salarians.

I never said militarily. But yeah, politically, they all need a say in what is going on. They're powers in the galaxy now.

I don't think the Vorcha are going to want a seat.

But this war has shown that these days of before is over. As for the armed forces, I think having a Turian/Human front would be best. But it would still be best to involve the Batarians and other forces.

That's the key. Keep everyone involved. Establish a Citadel Force that is impartial and maintains a peace.
