Really? I was going to suggest letting them rebuild with human resources. Why foster more hate when you can build an antagonistic relationship into a strong and powerful alliance.

All needed is imprisioning the surviving upper classes, in forced labor to give them a bit of karma.

I think the first course of action for the Human empire and it's servant races "council" is to finish the what the reapers started on Khar'shan, then extract a bloody revenge "negoiate compensation" for the Asari's and Salarian's actions during the war.

There should be still billions of batarians alive. Earth has the highest reapers presence and the codex entry for Earth indicates that it'll take 10 years before the Reapers finish harvesting everybody. It wouldn't make any sense if the batarians are extinct after some weeks of occupation.

Months actually.  And they probably weren't as populous as others species

I still think there are at least 1,000,000 (1 million) Batarians left. That's the very least.

Even the quarians outnumber them in that case.  They are rally going to need to repopulate

I'd say tens to hundreds of millions, easily. Their population was very widespread. I'd think the Drell are in more danger of extinction than most other species, particularly if Kahje gets hit.

Yes, there is no doubt about it. But they'll survive as a species.

Indeed. I also see the Drell as taking the fewest casualties as well. The Hanar get forgotten pretty quickly, and with them the drell. It doesn't help that there are only 3 drell in the entire trilogy.

I doubt that, the Geth had no interest in survivors until the very end.  The Reapers on the other hand had a vested interest in keeping the Batarian population alive so they could be indoctrinated and converted later.

So long as the crucible cures indoctrination, the Batarians should still have a sizeable population and at least in a better position than the Quarians were.

In all likely hood indoctrinated civilians are probably killed by Destroy, not sure about the others

I thought Thane said the Hanar only rescued a few hundred thousand of them. Granted, I'm not sure how long ago that was, or how much they've repopulated since then. Then again, are they actually extinct on Rakana?

Not every Drell died on Rakhana, they're just stuck in an apocalyptic wasteland apparantly.

Rakhana is **** bro. The Drell screwed that up. There are probably a few million, but I'd give their numbers to be even less than the Quarians.

Not every Drell died on Rakhana, but I'm willing to imagine that the planet is pretty much uninhabitable. Any Drell there are going to be eeking out a very pitiful existence.

Do we really need to go around pointing fingers over issues that came to light over the war? I don't think so. I think we need to move on and instead of look to the past, look to the present, and keep an eye on the future. We need to rebuild the galaxy. What happened happened. It's done. Move on and make sure there is a civilization to build from.

I'm not advocating any special penalties. Just enforcing the standing law. It was put in place specifically to prevent things like this from taking place, and the asari broke it long before the war was even on the horizon.
