I know this is most likely an origin issue and not something Bioware would be able to handle, but seeing as I can't post on the origin help forums because everytime Origin trys to send me a verification email it ihas no link (no really, look), I thought maybe some people in the community could help if they are experiencing the same problem. And, when I contacted customer support they didn't really give me any potential solutions I didn't already try myself.

I've seen this pop up in a few places but it doesn't seem to be too common (although it is common to have issues with origin...).  Basically what is happening is what is explained here. I try to launch mass effect 3 and it will either come up with an error message asking me to "please make sure game is installed correctly and try again." Or, it doesn't have an error message and still doesn't launch.

I have tried rebooting my computer. I have tried uninstalling origin (through the program, through add/remove progarms, and manually) and then reinstalling it. I have also tried enabling to use the pre-release version of origin (which I don't think their currently is one) to make sure I have the most recent version. I have tried temporarily disabling my anti-virus (I have MSE so I don't really know how it would block it but I tried anyways) and I have also tried allowing Origin.exe, originclientservice.exe, and OriginLegacyCLI.exe through my firewall. Mass Effect 3 was already allowed. And, when that didn't work, I tried disabling the firewall all together. Still no biscuit. I have tried checking for updates on ME3, repair installing ME3 and re-installing ME3. And, lastly I have tried running ME3 and Origin in Admin mode. I tried a few other things with consule commands I can't quite remember that fixed some people's similar isssues with other games but it also didn't work.

I have basically stopped short of fiddling with the registry keys in regedit to make sure they are pathing appropriately but I can't make heads or tails of how it should be (origin makes it extra complicated) so I left it alone.

So yeah, if anyone has any information on this issue, or has suggestions, questions, moral support, whatever, please feel free to uh help out. Also, if you are having this problem too, also speak up and we can work through this together.

Also. Another note: I did find out that a friend of mine who also has it for PC had different locations for some of their keys in regedit. I didn't know if this is just how the specific computers sorted them, or because it is different because she has the collectors edition and I don't. But, there is that. I used the default install location on my C:/ drive and I'm assuming she did to. If anyone knows anything about how they should be and if they were changed recently (and didn't change on my computer for some reason) feel free to also help.

update: I finally got an email with a verification link in it from origin after several tries from multiple locations on different web pages of EA . So I will be putting a post on the forums there too. But, if anyone has anything to add please feel free. Thanks.
