Well it is your own distinctive form of fan-art.

It is lengthy imagery of Dragon Age characters being hacked to death in multiple ways and from different angles.

Oh, it already exists? sorry i missunderstood :o

Hope it is in good humor and comic style.

I laughed when Sten started trying to put out her fire.

Can't speak for anyone else, but I must say that Morrigan annoys me because of her arrogant bullying of others and the fact that she is essentially protected from any kind of comeback due to plot protection, and don't seem to see the 'intelligence' others seem to see in her.

Same here, you're not alone.

As for the video : I can definitely see the cathartic fun of seing her being slaughtered. The plot protection is guilty of a lot of irritation toward her.
And the very idea of the slap mod cracked me up.

Eh. I can see where everyone coming from. I don't personally get anything out of mods like this. It's not that I can't chop Morrigan into pieces that bother me about her character. I wouldn't mind a mod where I can confront her, or argue with her.

The problem for me is you don't really get a chance to argue with her and she's always somehow smarter than you and that's not very fun. At least with Sten you can argue against rushing right at the Archdemon. (It's amusing to me that both the non-player characters that are supposed to be the most intelligent want to do the silliest thing ever.)

Basically there's this naivety and arrogance to Morrigan that the game fails to allow you to address. I wouldn't say that she's a Mary Sue because the flaws of her character are apparent to me at least. It's just that you can't confront those flaws without her somehow proving your character wrong or getting the last word in.The game I don't think makes enough room for you to be smarter then she is, or even wiser, in the context of talking to her. (I haven't played a super high intelligent character yet, but I don't think it will be different in that case either.)

Some people like seafood. I don't.

If I see someone eating seafood in a restaraunt, I feel no urge to go over to their table and insult them on their culinary tastes and build a personal vendetta with them over it.

But seriously, seafood sucks.

*gigglesnorts at the ruckus* Wow. This is really kind of funny. The "Y so srs" cat said it perfectly. I don't like Morrigan either, but I've managed to gain some modicum of respect for the writing behind her (as a writer myself, I know it can be fun to create a character that people love to hate). Still. Lulz at this ruckus. Now, I'm going over here before someone beats me up.

While I see your point I don't think it works in this context. A forum is for communicating opinons and talking about things that are liked or not liked. Forums are here so we can talk about what you don't like about seafood. Being in a forum is more akin to sitting at a bar and having a few drinks with the locals to talk and hang out. Sometimes everyone laughs and has a good time other times the night concludes with a barfight and police sirens(Flame War/Moderators.)

I was just curious about what "daddy" would say if he saw her "child" in a full nude romantic scene instead of having her head chopped off!

After all, "Daughters never grow up, Anora. They remain six years old with pigtails and skinned knees... Forever!!!"

Agree with this assessment 100%. It's frustrating when your dialogue with an NPC is circumscribed to a ridiculous degree just so they can appear witty.

I didn't find the video terribly funny, but I don't think there's anything wrong with it. The real comedy gold in this thread is Mr. Gaider's responses. Humor, Mr. Spock!

I think David might understand why a rather sexy character of his ended up being rule 34ed. I can't imagine it would bother him, but what do I know?

Isn't it that just the thing about posting humor on a forum. You have no idea how people can react. In the real world you can quickly pick up the cue if someone gets offended or not and change yourself if needed. On the internet people only get feedback on what they post until it's too late, so chances are much greater on the internet that you will fail in your communication.

I didn't find the video either amusing or offensive really, just pointless. I can understand that some people find this funny and other just find it sort of sick and disturbing. Go ahead and post like this if you don't care if some people find what you do disturbing, you can't please everyone I suppose, but don't pretend it's just their fault if they get offended.

Like a headless Morrigan zombie this thread has risen from the grave.

Perhaps if my approval gets low enough you could find a model that looks like me to chop apart. There are enough people who don't like me to find that awfully amusing. There would be HURR DURRR giggling a-plenty, without a doubt.

Heheh. You know, David, there is a head morph of you in the resource files? ;)

It does not help that you are forced into giving her what she wants or she leaves, which means that there is no real motivation to train, equip, or use because she will just go away in the end or force you to to make a decision that may be contrary to how you RP your PC.

??  How much work does it take to "train" Morrigan or any party member, since they level with you?  Her default equipment is good enough to get her through the game, subbing in the better outfit you get from her personal quest.

As for being a worse mage than Wynne, no way no how.  I know that I did not use Morrigan much on my first couple playthroughs but after playing a mage myself, I appreciate her setup more.  IMO she is the more powerful mage even if you don't use her shapeshifting abilities (which I usually don't).  The healer stuff is easy enough to get after level 7 and she is much more set up to be a feast of destruction than Wynne.

Like Zevran, character-wise she grew on me.  My tendency is to play noble characters, so at first I was put off by her.  However, her nagging disapproval is not so evident later in the game.  In Redcliffe, I did send her away and subbed in Dog because I was tired of the frowny faces for every single quest- I wouldn't do anything in Redcliffe if it were up to Morrigan.  Not necessarily more annoying than Wynne's preachiness, though, depending on your POV, and I find Sten much more prickly.  The only other time my noble characters have a problem with her is in the alienage when she wants you to slaughter the elven captives.  I wish I had an option then, like you do with the Anvil of the Void, to suggest that she would be welcome to take her place in line for the blood sacrifice if that's how she feels about it.

This is an awful lot of time and energy to spend on a character that someone purportedly dislikes. I mean, you essentially create a mod where a figure that looks like her stands there placidly so you can kill it (without it fighting back) over and over and over again?

Perhaps you might want to consider some medical assistance. Seriously.

I'm still wondering how are you taking on Morrigan being punched in the face in the new DLC movie, David! <eg>

But isn't that the point of user created mods? So that players(assuming you have the PC version) can do anything they want to. Morrigan is a **** at points in the game, like in the end-game where you go "I should have killed you before." and she says "Now you won't get the chance to." and just walks off RIGHT BESIDE YOU and you stand there with arms folded.

Er... if someone wants to create a mod where they slay Morrigan in that scene, then by all means go to it. I just don't see the point (or the humour) in dropping a Morrigan model (or any character's model that seems to annoy Skellimancer) into a mod to cut up as it stands there docile.

I imagine it must bring some level of satisfaction, but I just find it really odd that Skellimancer keeps posting this same trick again and again. It's an odd fixation. Someone can write it off as my being attached to Morrigan if they wish, but frankly I don't see that as Morrigan-- I just find it disturbingly deranged.

IT'S JUST A GAME!

That arguement usually works, the only problem is the fact that HE WROTE THE DAMN GAME. Like insulting a kid's finger painting, it's just a picture, but of course the kid who made the thing will take it personally, it's only natural. In fact I'm surprised that you thought he'd react in any other way, come on.
