Same problem for me, I've tried everything suggested, still no go.
The thing is, I was connected, it was downloading while I started the game, and it downloaded a couple of items. When I checked the DLC in-game, though, it told me download had failed, and I haven't gotten online since. I'm starting to think it has something to do with their servers.

I did the ECN fix - and it didn't work. Then I played for 10 hours and, just for kicks, rebooted and tried one last time. It worked! It was finally able to get online and login in-game. Predicatably, it won't download properly, but I'm hoping that simply b/c the server is so busy? That's the next hurdle.
Running Vista 64. Great game aside from this absurd DLC system. I've had an easier time backing up everything and re-installing Windows than downloading this damn golem.

Are you guys playing the disc version or the digital version when you get the "not online" error? Or you just having issues with your DLC or with launching the game at all?

I'm having this same problem - DA:O won't see my 'net connection - but I'm running the digital deluxe edition. EA's live chat supprt blew me off just like the phone support people blew 8limbscientist off.

Also had this problem - just now remembered that I have Peerguardian running most of the time in the background, and lo and behold - it turned out to be PG blocking Dragon Age's attempts at connecting.. Doh.

Okay I disabled ECN and it works fine.
I have to wonder why it is so though.
Also for some reason every redeem code works except the guildmaster's belt.

If you are using Vista, check out this article. It explains what ECN is and that some home routers may not support it.

There is also a link to a Microsoft tool that can check your Internet connectivity.

In port forwarding you put computer's IP or router's IP? And what ports should be forwarded for DA?
