A while back Mike Gamble tweeted:

"Hardest. Day. Ever. Seriously, if you people knew all the stuff we are planning…you’d, we’ll – hold onto your copy of [Mass Effect 3] forever."

What do you think - mindless PR talk - or a clue...?

I think that comment has little to do with EC itself, and more with future paid DLC/Mass Effect games. It is not out of bounds to think that you could upload your ME3 savefile to any new Mass Effect game set in the future so that your ending choices affect it in one or another way.

The EC was pretty good by itself in any case.

I call B.S.

Just like they said we wouldn't have ABC endings... But I'm not mad, I enjoyed my ending the first time.

Biggest. Fail. Ever. Seroiusly if Bioware people knew that fans want a logical and satisfying ending...

Standard PR talk would be my guess.
I'm sure they are planning something for ME3. Probably some more multiplayer content and Appearance Pack 1-10

I always assumed it meant "We've got some DLC planned" (and not th EC).

I call PR talk to.

Of course they have "plans". Every developer has plans of some kind for what they want to do next. Means nothing.

All those who feel Reject was an 'insult' (seriously?) probably think they mean this.

Remember this statement was made before endings were known and hated. Plenty of pay DLC over the coming years, maybe some of it good. Still feel they have something big planned is it going to be good don't know.

I think Bioware had some sort of "Best trolling" competition during release. Would explain a lot.

Twitts cannot be trusted ...

We are not planning to recreate original ending or adding aditional new ending to EC...

DING DONG - Refuse ending - punch to the own Twitts

This was an attempt to stop people trading in the game in the first two weeks. That would have crippled new game sales.

Here’s a great article with links to others:

Note the Rob Munsch quote. BSN fans aren’t the only ones who think Reject is a slap in the face.

Rule of thumb: whenever Gamble, Hudson or Walters say anything, the opposite is usually true.

Yup,

Specifically, it was an attempt to slow the number of people trading the game in, or uninstalling it by dangling some future bit of content that no one will want to miss.

In other words, marketing BS

I think it was mainly to keep people interested if so it was quite [puts on sunglasses] a Gamble.
Seriously though I'm hoping there is something more to it.
