First off, many idiots don't abide by it. On top of that, they don't even list their post with **SPOILER** in it, so I end up reading it.
Next, Bioware doesn't even abide by it. The first pinned thread in General Discussion is about the upcoming Ostagar DLC, and yes it has **SPOILER** in the title of the thread, but WHY is it here if they have a spoiler forum?? And do I even need to mention the email they sent out about that DLC? I won't say it here but it was a MAJOR spoiler to someone who just started the game (like me).
And finally what I see as the biggest problem ... people who haven't finished the game won't go to the spoiler forum because they don't want things ruined. What's wrong with the normal way of just placing **SPOILER** in a post before you type, that way as people are reading it, they can just avoid it. I just don't see that the current setup is working.
I just saw a thread where someone asked about health potions. Someone else posted where they could get unlimited Elfroot and that thread was closed because of spoilers? I read it and it didn't spoil anything and that got me to thinking ... where are people who haven't finished this game supposed to get help?
