On the PC:

1)  Make sure that you have earned Dragon Age: Origins Unlocks by playing Dragon Age Journeys while signed into an EA online account.
     a)  If you have not earned Unlocks, you can play Dragon Age Journeys at www.dragonagejourneys.com.

2)  Log in to you online account.
     a)  On the Main Menu, click the 'Log In' button at the bottom left of the screen.
     B)  Enter your account's email address and password, then click the 'Log In' button.

3) Back on the Main Menu, ensure the status button at the bottom left of the screen says 'Logged In' and below that is the email address of the account you want to use.

4)  Select the 'Downloadable Content' option from the Main Menu.

5)  The Dragon Age: Origins Unlock item will automatically begin to download.  Once it has completed downloading and installing the content, the Unlock item will move to the Installed Content tab.  Click the 'Installed Content' tab to review all DLC you currently have installed on this machine.  Ensure the content you just downloaded is set to Enabled.

6)  To play this content, return to the Main Menu and start a New Game, Resume your last game, or Load a previous save game.

7)  Your Unlock item will automatically appear in your Party Inventory.

On the Sony PlayStation 3

1)  Make sure that you have earned Dragon Age:
Origins Unlocks by playing Dragon Age Journeys while signed into an EA
online account.
     a)  If you have not earned Unlocks, you can play Dragon Age Journeys at www.dragonagejourneys.com.

2)  Make sure you have a PlayStation Network account, and that you are logged into that account on your Playstation 3 system.
     a)  For details on how to create a PlayStation Network account, or to log in with it, please refer to your PlayStation 3 sytem manual or the www.playstation.com website.

3)  Log in to the Dragon Age Servers with your EA online account.
     a)  On the Main Menu, press the Triangle button to 'Sign In to Dragon Age Servers'.  If you are not seeing this prompt, it means you are logged in with a PlayStation Network account already tied to an EA account and you can skip to step 4.
     B)  At the Log In screen, use the Direction Pad or Left Analog Stick Up/Down and press the X button on the E-mail address field.
     c)  At the on-screen keyboard, enter your account's email address.
     d)  Repeat the process to enter your Password.
     e)  Press the Triangle button to Log-In.

Note: Some users are not being prompted to log in to their account and are not seeing their unlock items appear in the downloadable content menu.  We believe this indicates that the EA account tied to your PlayStation Network account is not the EA account used to play Dragon Age Journeys.  We are investigating solutions, but have no estimate on when we will have a solution for those users.  We apologize for the inconvenience.

4)  Select the 'Downloadable Content' option from the Main Menu.

5)  The Dragon Age: Origins Unlock item will now appear in the Available Content tab and say 'Purchased'.

6)  Select that item with the Direction Pad or Left Analog Stick Up/Down.  You will see a detailed description on the right hand side of the window.

7)  Press the X button to 'Download' the item.  The game will exit to the PlayStation Network Store.

8)  Review the details and press the X button to select the 'Download' option.  And again at the next screen.  Wait for the content to complete downloading before proceeding.

9)  Once the download is complete, keep pressing the Circle button to Back out of the PlayStation Network store.  Once you exit the PlayStation Network Store, the game will automatically restart.

10)  At the Main Menu of the game, select the Downloadable Content option.  You should now notice that the content you just downloaded now says 'Downloaded'.

11)  To play this content, return to the Main Menu and start a New Game, Resume your last game, or Load a previous save game.

     a)  The prompt to Log in will automatically appear after loading the game..
     B)  At the Log In screen, use the Direction Pad or Left Analog Stick Up/Down and press the A button on the E-mail address field.
     c)  At the on-screen keyboard, enter your account's email address.
     d)  Repeat the process to enter your Password.
     e)  Press the Y button to Log-In

I did not have the options either...

My EA account and XBL account emails are exactly the same, I've been logged in since beginning the game. Not only does my character not sync to here, nor can I register my copy and the items don't work.

And a related question: Do i have to ALWAYS be logged in to my EA account to play with these items?

People are reporting that the game refuses to load with these items if not logged in, and for those of us who dont have the possibility of constant internet access this is a huge thing.

Hmm. Interesting. I wasted my time with the 2D version why exactly? Oh yeah, buggy (i.e. lost items, saves), insane requirements (play through the same game 3x) and now, impossible transfer to the actual game. I've not seen anyone actually make the transfer to xbox 360. Don't waste your time with Journeys.

Ok. So that was worded a little strongly. The Journeys game was fun. Probably the best flash RPG I've played. Bioware was quick to correct the errors with lost unlocks, saves, etc after it came to their attention. I'm just seeing that a) launching a social site in Beta the day your game comes out and you've talked to the press about how cool it is you can follow your friends characters, etc, then 2) the Beta site is impossible or counterintuitive to link to your EA account or Xbox Live account, 3) folks are losing or being unable to download DLC from the CE on PC, depending on which store you downloaded it from, 4) people are being unable to register their games due to server errors, etc.

Again: I really liked Dragon Age Journeys. Playing the game was not a waste of time (although playing it through three times was a little much).

Oh yeah: pressing y on the main screen does nothing on my Xbox 360.

My problem is that the "login to EA Servers" prompt (with the triangle button) on the PS3 version does not appear so I cannot get the rest of my DLC info from Journeys. My PS3 is logged into the Playstation network and my other DLC seems ok (Shale, Keep, Blood armour), but I never get the EA login prompt....

I had my lucky ring appear today after uploading a character, however I have had Embri's many pockets unlocked for days and it has not shown up on my DLC on PS3.

As a weird turn of events, i can now download the helm of the deep but still no embri belt

The PS3 Triangle button brings up no menu. If ANYONE has gotten this to work post screen shots, because I'm pretty certain that the person answering these threads has no idea what he/she is talking about and is only following the advice that someone else has told them (which is wrong). Cut on a PS3 or XBOX, nothing brings up this mysterious log-in screen.

Part of the fun for me for play DOJ< was unlocking items for the real game, feel like i was duped.

The email listed is actually embedded in the flash game on journeys and their twitter site links to this thread so I would say the likeliness of it being some random person posting is slim.

As for the triangle thing, it opened up the menu for me the first time, but now it automatically signs into my ea account and i cant change it. I have tried re-meeting the requirements for embris many pockets and then loging in to see if it would reactivate the item gain but that didn't help. Also in my unlocked promo items here, i have an empty box between the helm of the deep and the lucky stone....it might be that box that is causing issues for me. I have both Amulet of the war mage and Helm of the Deep on my PS3 it is just the first one now.

Over the weekend, we updated Dragon Age Journeys to version 1.41. In addition to the latest round of bug fixes, we changed the earn conditions on the Mighty Magic achievement and the Amulet of the War Mage unlock item.

Dragon Age Journeys is still in beta, and as such, we are trying to optimize the game to meet the needs of our players. We felt that the previous earn conditions on these two items were too difficult or time consuming for many players, and have revised them to reflect a level of difficulty we think is more appropriate. These and other features of Dragon Age Journeys are sure to improve as our work on the game continues.

Some users may experience problems with earning these items on older save files. If you are experiencing any problems or frustrations with these unlocks or achievements, please email us at dajourneys@gmail.com and we will be sure to address the problems as quickly as possible.

Thank You,
Dragon Age Journeys team

I didn't have any problems downloading the DA:J unlocks to my Xbox 360, but I was surprised to discover that I now cannot play DA:O at all if the DA servers are unavailable for any reason (maintenance, overload, Internet whimsy, et al). The DA:J item unlocks are specifically called out in the "you can't play your saved game because..." dialog box.

I'm not sure how much your hands are tied by EA policy, but it would make for a more pleasant customer experience if the authorization model were more robust. A "lease" approach, wherein each authorization has an expiration, seems more appropriate. Refresh the lease duration every time you successfully re-authorize. As it currently stands, the authorization model makes me want to remove all DLC so that DA server availability doesn't dictate when I'm allowed to play a game with no online play.
