Exactly there are better weapons that can be used more effectively. Not everyone is great with it. if the weapon was OP everyone would do good with it. I routinely outscore kysae users of higher character levels even infs when i am not playing one. AA can easily do it as well as engineers with their assists and chain overload. I have done it with vanagurds easily. You can even kill krysae targets at long range before their projectile hits. They get nothing.P51Mus7ang wrote...
I ran with it from the day it was released (level 10 within the first week), however when I obtained the Harrier a week ago, haven't looked back, far out performs on kills, it's actua;;y that simple. The Krysae is simply too slow or not effective against far too many of the enemies that take us down quick, I would rather have something that allows me to remove their head and carry on. Put wary 3 or 4 on the thing and laugh at a geth prime while looking at him in the face, through the scope works best:)
Why the krysae is not OP.

no more OPthan the carnifex or GPS.
Nope, it's more OP than say a carnifex or a GPS. When you nuke a spawn with it, you don't actually only kill the guy you shoot, but those around him too. Something the carnifex doesn't do.

The Kyrsae ignores shield gate. Idk about post-nerf but before a single cloaked shot from a kyrsae would kill Rocket Troopers/Centurians/Marauders with full shields w/o amps.
Incorrect.
Energy drain the shields away, THEN a single krysae MIGHT kill the target, maybe.

I
have to disagree, a single shot even when cloaked w/ amps is not
capable of dispatching the above mentioned units. What you are referring
to is the infamous "double-shot". I think that if this small "trick"
were to be fixed the Krysae's OP'dness would reduce dramatically.
Infiltrators are able to apply a damage bonus to two shots when done
correctly. The Krysae was brought down to par with the last balance
change towards its damage output, but due to this double-shot trickery,
infiltrators can still benefit from what is simply an in game
manipulation. It "looks" like a single shot, but it is actually two.
(The following is not actual statistics)
So
say your normal Krysae Damage is 500 and when a cloaked shot is fired
it increases to 1000. Also say the Rocket Troopers total health (Shields
included) is 1500. When you double that you get 2000pts of damage and
easily dispatch the troop! Very OP.
(again, certainly not the correct dmg pt or RT health, just an example)
Take away the ability for double-shot, the Krysae is completely fixed.
Did both of you fail to read I said before post-nerf?
It most certainly ignores shield gate and used to one-shot shielded troopers on Gold with a cloak and no amps. It was terribly broken and I would know because thats when I tried the Kyrsae the day it came out.

The Harrier is in no way better than the Krysae. You would have to be high to think the Harrier is better. I like the Harrier, but it has a major drawback whereas the Krysae has only minor drawbacks that are debatable.

it still take out pyros in a flurry of shots like they never had any shields, which is really the only thing that makes it so ridiculous. give it shield gate rules, at least... that seem to be a point most of us can agree on.
A normal sniper can take out a Pyro with a single hit, just aim at their head and hit the tank on their back and they'll explode.
A Krysae user needs to fire 3-4 shots, and does not gain the benefit of the exploding Pyro.
The Krysae has its perks and drawbacks, overral, I'd rate it the same as a Black Widow and Valiant.
The only thing I can give the Krysae credit for is that it is a little easier to use, but its skillcap(ultimate potential) is no higher than that of another skilled player using a Black Widow or similar.
Also, a Krysae is next to useless in the hands of a non infil, whereas a non-infiltrator can still make good use of a Black Widow or even a Valiant by playing on the damage bonus from their headshot multipliers.
