Because I've never posted one before so if you don't want to read it, simply don't. I played the game and and got every ending. I had my immediate favorite, Synthesis, and quietly laughed at any who saw Destroy as "the only good ending". I read the Indoctrination Theories and while I could definitely see validity in them, I knew that was not Bioware's vision and instead the players grasping for hope. I never understood the hatred Bioware got for their conclusion of their own game. I have plenty of games and movies I wish ended differently, but I didn't make them and therefore have no right to be upset they didn't go my way. I could however relate to those wishing for more closure and expansion on the crew we all spent so much time molding and interaction with. Then I read about Bioware's EC, and thought to myself how great it was to see a company take steps top make their fans happy when so many other companies would not have cared. I appreciate all the hard work that went into every free DLC we've been GIVEN. Now I've officially gotten every ending with the EC, and I gotta say...

Robo-God ending (Control) is freaking sweet! It actually started off sounding very ominous, but by the end I was more than pleased with my choice, I now had a new favorite ending. The addition of all the new scenes and expanded dialogue was perfect. Sure there are things I still wish were included, but that's personal preference and I didn't expect to have everything I wanted. I'm an adult, I know how the world works.

Synthesis was my close 2nd choice. With the explanation of the unity it created, it solidified my assumptions from the original ending and I was still very pleased. In fact, the only reason I prefer the new Control ending is because of my own protector complex. It just fits me better.

The Doom My Universe By Doing Nothing Ending seemed like an odd choice to include, especially in a game all about choice, but then again it simply adds yet another choice to make. It was oddly satisfying however, but not a choice I'd make again. I almost missed the new variation of the moonlit storytelling scene...very important to this ending.

My least favorite ending was Destroy, just like before the EC. No matter what, I feel this ending a waste of time and effort, both mine and Shepard's. Momentary peace is ok but not in the grand scheme of things. And picking this ending just because it's the only one where Shepard lives is selfish. After everything the players went thru to get to the inevitable conclusion, I don't see how anyone could even fathom weighing the lives of the universe against their own life. Again, this goes against everything I personally stand for, and it angers me.

In the end, I think Bioware hit the nail on the head. I felt something for every ending and appreciate the opportunity to craft my own. Thanks guys!
