The subtitles are broken all over the place with the EC. I always play with the subtitles on, and for some obscure reason while they still work with the old content (confrontation with TIM) but with the new sequences involving the fleet, and the conversation with the AI there weren't any subtitles for me (on the 360 version)

Nothing really. The Destroyer earlier in the Earth mission makes a similar sound. It's just Reaperspeak.

He either said "serve us" or "join us". It's so damn processed, I can't make it out clearly. I wish they would've just brought Harbinger's voice actor back.

Still, that extra five seconds between Harbinger and Shepard was awesome and gave me lots of closure on where they stood.

Ok, Harbinger makes two funny noises that don't sound entirely mechanical. Starbrat mentions that the first reaper (which was Harbinger) was made of his creators against their will "because it was the only way". Suppose the Creators don't like what they're doing, but yet they're stuck in that AI-controlled shell.

That explains why he says "Save us" right before sending shep to la-la land. That would explain why he didn't blast the crap out of the Normandy. That would also explain why Harbinger has such a hard-on for the cycle's avatar of Victory. . . he wants someone to kill him. He's looking for someone worthy enough to end it. The creators inside hate what they're doing. And that's why he's so pissed that you choose to continue the cycle.

I think it said Save us.... Maybe it's the remnant of the creators of the catalyst that's asking you to save them from the catalyst... set them free from their Limbo.

If they still got some wishes left in them... are they asking for destory, control or Synthesis?

Im guessing Control wouldn't actualy "save" them from slavery...

I think it's save us, mainly because it adds something interesting and explains him not destroying the normandy or killing shepard outright.

He does the equivalent of the undercover cop shooting the captured cop while he wears a bullet proof vest.
