So far all I have heard is that it's past pre-production. When will we hear anything about the story? What do you hope happens in the story?

Well going by last time, when it's officially announced we might get some very broad strokes stuff - where it's set, what the protagonist is called and maybe a brief, rather generic idea of what the plot is about.

But we have no idea when it's going to be officially announced, so that's pretty useless.

I have a feeling they're going to set it in Orlais. I think Rivain is a more interesting setting, but with the whole Mage Vs Templar plot that DA2 ended with, I'd say that it's more likely that it'll be set in Orlais. I just hope they let you chose your race in this one, I missed being an elf in DA2.

God I hope not if most people in Orlais talk like the annoying French accents in DA:O/DA2. And if they do, please make it short and then take us to Tevinter Imperium. In the feedback thread, the most popular place people wanted to visit was Tevinter Imperium...

I hope they take that feedback to heart.

If I recall didn't they say it's going to be moving around to different countries? I think Orlais will be the main country DA3 takes place in but we'll end up going to some other countries for a short time for some reason or another.

I think you will find it will cover a fairly large area of the world map. Only specific places within that area though.

I think they will announce something soon. Not immediately though, but soon.

I hope so. I'm all for seeing Orlais, but I do really want to check out this Tevinter. So much has happened with that place.

One of my favorite lines from the codex describing Tevinter now was something like--"A drunken **** crouching on the side of the road yelling at passersby to recall her faded beauty." Great line.

Orlais I imagine very colorful, light, fancy (although they seem to have been having some troubles these days. Idk how colorful and light it will be anymore).

Tevinter I imagine to be rather monotone....and spooky.

I believe i heard Laidlaw say something about making a new DA game "French", not sure if this was a joke but it sounded more like a teaser to me. He also hinted at having a seeker and a Grey Warden in the party. I'll find the link and post it on here.

I believe it will more than likely take place around the mage/chantry power struggle, but I believe it would be amazing to take place both in Orlais, and the Imperium, being as how the two versions of the chantry differ greatly. It would be nice to see both, but unfortunately, I doubt they would make it in two differently "countries" so that they can preserve new game areas for future games.

I also wonder how old Feynreil is doing. I sent him off to Tevinter, more or less. I hope he hasn't gone crazy blood mage on me. He would seem a likely candidate for companion.

I love the idea of a grey warden and a seeker as companions. Some think that this Rhys character might be a companion. From Asunder. Evangeline.

That was a great PAX panel. I hope the one at SDCC is good, too. And they get up off a bit more info. Like how they're going to handle the PC.

The only thing DA related will be a Dark Horse/Bioware Panel, Gaider, Darrah and Pristley will be on it. So, more DA comics on the way. I think maybe this will be the way they choose to tell us the story of Exalted March?

Well, let me rephrase this in a way that you won't feel offended:

Let the team behind Dragon Age, wet the fans' whistles by telling us something about it to let us know that it is an actual game, and let our fan minds go crazy and get hyped.

You never know, might help with selling.

Perhaps, or they could pull a move like the team behind Dead Space, and completely give us a major hint at what the game will be through the moniker of it being a comic. Hopes and dreams, hopes and dreams.

I honestly think Bioware will take a slow and cautious approach to DA3. They know how important this game will be to the fanbase and the franchise. They will be in no hurry to reveal anything anytime soon, unless they are absolutely certain they need to convey the information to us. Whether it be about the game mechanics or story.
