So, I am about 11-13hours and I am a lvl 10 dalisf elf.  I just realized how big this game was.  So many side quests, is it possible to finish all or most of the side quests before you finish the story line.

I know some side quests you can only complete when doing some of the main story line thats ok I guess.

When Do I start to see some good weapons/gear/items in the vendors. Can you reach level cap before finisihing the game.  I like to finish side quest, get loot find items/gear/weapons before I finish the main story line.

You can finish alot of the side quests. However some branch in two separate ways so you will have to decide eventually who to side with. As far as gear on vendors there is a point where certain vendors upgrade which is typically after you finish two treaties from what I have seen.



My first play without donating a single time to troops I was extremely thorough and reached around 21 and still had a bit of main story remaining possibly good for a level or two. However you can cap out earlier if you choose to donate to your troops in camp when you complete one treaty the Dalish are ideal for this as their donation of elfroot is the least expensive option.



Without troop donations I would hazard a guess that somewhere around 22-24 is max if you quested everything possible and used the archivist sash at earliest opportunity for all codex. But with the donations you can cap at 25 quite easily and cheaply.

Thanks mate, I wasnt sure what that Dalish guy was doing at my camp. Guess Ill toss him the 300+ elfroots
