Couple of thoughts came to mind on my current re-play through the game;
1. did anyone get the conversation where Edi is talking about multiple universes and infinite possibilities? I think this was an important hint about the outcomes of the game. Also when the catalyst shows you the illusive man controlling the reapers or Anderson blowing them up...with no Sheperd in sight. In other words infinite possibilities and we can "head canon" the answers we don't have.
2. Speaking to Bailey and spending time ensuring I do most if not all of the side missions for the citadel made me think...at the end where the citadel has become a body factory Sheperd say to Anderson that the reapers beamed people up from earth for processing. Presumably that is where all the bodies came from but does that mean Bailey and ALL the people you encounter on the citadel are turned to reaper mush? Also, if they were building a reaper, where was it...or did all those poor souls get processed in order to make shepherds control ending a possibility?
3.just why was Sheperd shown a vision of Anderson destroying the citadel? Was it What Anderson would have done? Was it what he does do in an alternate reality? Is there a reality where Anderson takes out the reapers and Sheperd survives?
Opinions on the above would be interesting. Thanks

I always just took the brief clips of Anderson shooting the Pipe and TIM pulling the Levers as Images in Shepard's thoughts because Anderson believed we should aim to Destroy the Reapers and TIM believed we should aim to Control them.

Honestly speaking that's how I interpreted it first time too, just wondering if there is more to it ...
