Agreed. The Geth are supposed to be the terminators of the ME universe. They don't eat, they don't drink, they don't sleep, they' don't even breathe. They're the perfect soldiers. Organics do not choose to fear them it is a function of our hardware.

Geth are bugged, so that their already numerous stunlock abilities get even more ridiculous.

Rapid fire Rocket Launchers, Hunters stunlock unhindered by getting stunlocked themselves and Pyros getting ghost-range.

I find them really annoying and cheap (especially on open maps like Hydra) but they really ain't much trouble when using against certain classes.

What classes do you use against them? Are you aware that certain classes are strong against certain factions but weaker against others? I suspect a lot of BSN users play classes that cannot handle geth swarm tactics well.

Case in point when properly specced Turian and Batarian soldiers can damage and stun lock groups of Geth by spamming proximity mine and ballastic blades. Claymore human soldiers are also effective as the Geth like to get in close. If you're hosting play as a vangaurd and on silver at least you're unkillable vs Geth.

The Geth hysteria on here is absurd. Do they stun lock? Yes but they need something to make up for lacking any OHK units.

Really? You're trying to pull a "Fighting against Geth for Dummies"? Or Geth 101?
Yeah, most people know HOW to beat Geth. But a lot of really GOOD Gold players play Unknown/Unknown/Gold. So you can't ALWAYS play a Geth/Quarian Engineer. And some people actually enjoy playing Turians, Batarians, and Krogans... which besides the Kroguard, all suffer from stunlock woes and are actually quite poor against the Geth.

The real reason people dislike the Geth are because they are cheap as hell and glitchy.
Here let me break it down into a list of reasons for you.

1) Rocket Troops with INSTANT fire missiles. They will fire on you the INSTANT you enter their LoS.
2) Rocket Troops firing 2-3-4 missiles in a row with no reload animation between shots and without any sort of pause.
3) Geth Hunters becoming godlike due to certain glitches that are directly linked to their cloak mechanics.
4) Geth Hunters firing WHILE STUNNED which then stunlocks YOU. For that Rocket Troop or Prime to finish off...
5) Primes HAVING A HEAD EXPLOSION ANIMATION without any actual headshot damage multipliers.... I still don't get that.
6) The fact that for every balance change for the first two months the Geth were constantly being made more and more aggressive and powerful. You should actually take a look at those changes, btw.
6b) Those changes resulting in a highly over aggressive and pinpoint accurate stunlocking crossmap rocket spamming faction of cheap on any map NOT FBW.

We know that. But it doesn't make Geth less cheap. It fact it shows how cheap they are if you need a character with the most health and shields + Barrier DR + best shield equipment.

+ Stagger resistance.

:wizard:

And yes, resorting to Kroguard is like throwing your hands up in the air and saying, "Oh eff this! I'ma kick yo ass real guud you damned tincans!"

geth are not fun to play because they are tryhards who watched too many terminator movies. Their aggressive swarming style forces you to try hard also.

Genuinely hard? No.
Annoying? Extremely.
Buggy? Hell yeah.
And that's why they're kind of harder than Cerberus and/or Reapers.

Ditto to these two.

Same here.

It's the bugs and cheapness of Geth that makes them a pain.

Yeah certain classes make silver goo of them in seconds but if you're playing U/U Gold (and are just playing classes that you want to play) I for one dread getting them. I know I'm going to spend half the match with my teeth clenched so strongly in annoyance that I'll have jaw-ache for ages after it.

This this this! I've used stasis on Hunters & Rocket Troops and they still fire half the time. They are the cheapest opponent ever. I've found the best defence is to use a SE decoy

Cerberus is completely carried by one enemy. Reapers are big, slow, and dumb. Geth are beaten by sitting behind a desk.

We need more interesting enemies.

It's very easy to defend machines. Sure, you can give a lot of awesome traits and say - they can't be headshotted because their vital parts are not in their head, they can't be stunned, because they don't feel pain and so on. But this is a GAME!

And Reapers should be de-facto hardest, because we have beaten Geth in ME1/2.

I play U/U/G pretty much exclusively. I beat Geth when they come up on whatever character I happen to be playing. I still hate playing them and dread getting them. They consume fun. They are the funsucking faction. They are fun vampires. They are the big mean Santa Clauses of Frustration Christmas.

The fact that the easiest way to beat them is generally to funnel them into a killzone then spam abilities on them from cover just makes them even less fun.

She is however a very effective enemy by herself. But I will agree, Cerberus needs to be buffed in general instead of having most of their forces be walking targets.

Banshees who can rapidly teleport, have no actual weakpoints, is quite durable and magnet hands you the moment they get close. Marauders will tear you apart when there's 2 or more. Ravagers will shoot you dead in one volley. All of them beg to differ.

One map/enemy combination does not make a whole faction easy. Try Geth on Condor and they can be as hard as Reapers. The only thing that's easy about Geth is their lack of insta-kill which means you can never taken out of a round completely.

You're welcome. It's always nice when satire based sarcasm is appreciated on the internet. But a lot of truth is said in jest.

Instead of giving Geth some nades to make farming hardewr on White they efffffed them up even more.
Pyros with reach longer than the flame animation? Cmon, that´s so bad even on April fools day it would be an insult to all players.

I haven't seen this mentioned yet so can someone please explain to me why when my KroGuard goes to melee a cloaked hunter, he swings & misses like Arod in a playoff game?
O & before I get a reply of takedown their shield, yea I know, thanks. It just occurs to me that because they are cloaked does not mean they are no longer part of our universe, they haven't traveled to a different dimension of time/space, have they? Maybe I missed a balance post or something & now shields are a form of time travel.

Thats just another bug that makes Geth so cheap.
Melee is the most obviouse but it´s the same with powers that simply go through cloaked hunters like thin air.
Weaponfire seems to be the only thing that works.

Powers and abilities like heavy melee sometimes have tracking issues on Geth hunters even if decloaked. its annoying, but that's just the way it is. Be careful trying to melee a hunter as a Krogan- aim carefully, cause a miss on gold can be ur doom (usually mean they'll meele you in the back/side, stagger you, and folllow-up w/ more GPS staggers that ignore critical health gating). if ur not confident the melee will track, then take the safe option and try to keep range on them like everyone else- you can always blindside them w/ melee if they are pestering a teammate.

Yea thanks & again, i'm aware. My question wasn't really a question but more of a sarcastic complaint as it makes zero sense that if something is right the f**k in front of me, cloaked or not, it should die like everything else when I swat at it. Because it cloaks, should not mean I can't hit it. After all, I cloak all the freaking time & I manage to get meleed if i'm not careful. Shouldn't this mechanic work both ways?
