To anyone who thinks Geth are the hardest faction in the game

If I go down with a geth trooper nearby I know I'm going to get executed unless I had a team mate really close by or there's a krogan vanguard with line-of-sight. With the other factions your team mates have time to run from the other side of the map.
Anyone else think that Atlas needs a bit of a buff? Maybe a shorter firing animation, or slightly increased movement speed?

I think the geth troopers (basic grunt) is a bit too quick to execute downed players. The other factions at least hesitate a while before doing it. I heard that geth troopers are less common on gold. I just wish the same could be said for silver games.

Amg don't you dare....Next thing you know Atlases will be cloaked, flying across the map with a katana blade in one hand & a nuke in the other.

Atlas is fine. What nees to get nerfed is Phantoms OP glove gun. And Nemesis get an A.I. buff.

They are certainty not harder then the bloody reaper troops. Brutes that swarm one area and swipe all around the place, completely hitting you even if you combat roll out of the way and Banshee's...I HATE BANSHEE'S!

Why is anyone having a problem with Rocket troopers? Just shoot their missiles out of the air.
Easier said than done, especially when 2 or more are firing multiple rockets from different angles.

+1. We're talking on gold here folks. On silver, they're slightly annoying but reapers & cerberus are more of a headache. Try shooting 3+ rockets out of the air at once while 3 hunters are coming up behind you & a pyro on your left flank. You can do that, my tag is my gamer ID, will you be my friend?

So the purpose of this thread is to say that other peoples opinions are wrong, and the OP's is right? Seems legit.
I suppose it became more of the other way around at some point. OP started off by saying geth aren't all that bad. On gold, they're near a damn nightmare with most classes, which seems to be the consensus.
Not trying to say one is right & the other is wrong, all opinions are welcome. Just making sure we're all talking about the same thing here....Geth on gold.

I don't mean to imply that I'm an obnoxiously good shot with the ability to feel missiles locking on to me.pmi0126 wrote...

It might just be a difference in platform. With a mouse and keyboard I find it very easy to shoot missiles down assuming I see them being fired. I rely on good positioning and squadmates to keep missiles out of my ass.

You & a teammate are mopping up after an objective wave & find a "nest" of 3 rt's. They greet you with 2 rockets to your face & 1 to your buddy's, if you're lucky. If unlucky you get a double fire from 1 or more of them & 1 of you is dead.
At point blank range, shooting those damn things, while not impossible as I've done it, is a daunting task to say the least. Shooting 3 or 4 or 6, I would have to say is impossible.

Krogan vanguard with cyclonic modulator IV. never get killed against geth again....
We know that. But it doesn't make Geth less cheap. It fact it shows how cheap they are if you need a character with the most health and shields + Barrier DR + best shield equipment.
You don't need the krogan vanguard, I was just throwing it out there as something fun to do.
Geth are really easy with several classes though. Both salarians, both male quarians, both geth classes, any overloader with disruor ammo, for example.
Their staggerlock against turians/batarians/krogan needs to be toned down though, and geth primes/rocket troopers cross map sniping you from impossible angles can be pretty annoying, but other than that they are still easy.

You can beat them sure, but you rarely beat em "in style" You can play tricks and make fun of Cerberus and Reapers, not with Geth tho. Either you go cheap on them or you'll be hitting the dirt.

What classes do you use against them? Are you aware that certain classes are strong against certain factions but weaker against others? I suspect a lot of BSN users play classes that cannot handle geth swarm tactics well.
Case in point when properly specced Turian and Batarian soldiers can damage and stun lock groups of Geth by spamming proximity mine and ballastic blades. Claymore human soldiers are also effective as the Geth like to get in close. If you're hosting play as a vangaurd and on silver at least you're unkillable vs Geth.
The Geth hysteria on here is absurd. Do they stun lock? Yes but they need something to make up for lacking any OHK units.
Batarian Soldiers are gods against any faction, and even the claymore can't one head shot a pyro on silver without the right mods/powers.
So yes, if you pick the right class you can face Geth at a normal difficulty level. But why should you be forced to pick a certain class to face a certain enemy, especially if you set it to u/u/ matches?
All that's gonna happen, like it did with infiltrators, is Bioware is going to look at the numbers and say "Engineers are used vs Geth 40% of the time, NERF!"
Which is ridiculous, but you never know.

...Are you using a Claymore 1? Because I can 1 shot a Pyro on gold with an uncloaked GI.

"Shooting" missiles with a Reegar blast while you're melting the face off a Rocket Trooper is satisfying. Oh so satisfying.

And Reapers should be de-facto hardest, because we have beaten Geth in ME1/2.
Shepard beat the Geth yes but recall whenever the Geth engaged in battles with anyone they were normally on the winning end until Shepard shows up.
