no, it is merely how I feel. If I hadn't fallen in love with the series I would not be so heart broken now. "it is better to have loved and lost" my arse....MegaSovereign wrote...

The E3 debut trailer just blew my mind. Casey Hudson talking about how it's MY story. The music. It all grabbed me. (DARK ENERGY)
I bought it and played it. But that first time I opened the galaxy map and uncharted worlds was playing, I was hooked. I have NEVER felt like this about a game or media series.
Mass Effect 2? Had it at launch. Played it. Was beside myself at the entire Omega 4 sequence. It was so epic, you walked about feeling like a hero.
ME3. Awesome up till the end. EC made it better. But even if I had gotten the perfect ride into the sunset ending I would still be sad.
Because it's over.

well, to be honest the reason why there are still people who are upset is because they expected more, much more than what we were given. In my opinion at least, people were expecting an awesome final mission with choices matter, acts of valor, and the final showdown against harbinger. what they were NOT expecting is a god child character introduced in the final minutes of the game to give shepard the opportunity to determine the fate of the galaxy through 3 color coded endings, or SO BE IT. It was...anti-climactic to say the least.
the biggest complaint I feel is still the lack of closure the series deserves. we never find out what happens to shep (head-canon doesn't count) and if he ever finds his friends again. or if he even survives the rubble. How did he even survive anyway? where did harbinger go, was he destroyed? questions like these leave people unsatisfied in the end, and when they start playing through the series again, they realize that no matter what, when the cards are down and you're in that catalyst chamber at the end... shepard gets screwed no matter what, you just get to pick what color he gets screwed with. just what I think.

As much as I LOVED ME1, the gameplay in that trailer looks a lot better.UFGSpot wrote...
I bought ME1 on launch day. I had been a huge KOTOR fanboy, and when I saw this next gen Bioware RPG I knew I had to have it. I ate up everything I could find on it. Early screenshots showing the detail in the aliens and such blew my mind. The Turians especially.

Instead, I finished ME3 with a sour taste in my mouth and have not touched ME2 or ME3 since then (nor do I have any desire to purchase ME1 at this point).
Why?
Because ME3 was a shallow and cut-rate game that completely failed to deliver on the promises made by ME2 and the ME3 marketing engine. ME3 has only one plot that leads to a fixed ending that is complete divorced from the rest of the prior game. I don't care that the "ending" was good or bad - I care that nothing I did in the earlier game play made any difference. Why replay a game just to be handed the same, tacked-on ending?

I started playing Mass Effect the past weeks when i bought all of them for my PC but i had played the first on 360 before that but i enjoyed every moment of the games or well maybe all, i wasn't an fan of the Mako. So to sum them all up.
Mass Effect was pretty darn interesting with everything. The best story i ever seen but the combat came on second hand it felt like but the story was making up for it. I fell in love with Tali's character directly and this time i choose to save Kaiden, which i started to like more and more the more i played. The only characters i really hated was Liara and Ashely and neither of them because they sucked, only that their characters was so well built that they were just not the characters i enjoyed.
Mass Effect 2 however took an good game to become legendary and awesome. I loved that the first person that is from the old crew that you meet is Tali(ya i love Tali so much
) but i felt a bit sad when she wouldn't join my crew. I also became a bit annoyed with everyone not believing me when i freaking saved the Citadel 3 years before that but then Anderson came in and became epic, believing in me and giving me an chance. The characters in ME2 was also epic. I already said i loved Tali and i loved her more when you actually did her Loyalty mission, it's hands down the best mission after the Suicide Mission and brining Legion with you just adds the lols and talking about Legion, i thought i would love him but not in the way that i did. I thought he would come in my top 5 but as number 4 but he jumped up to number 2 after Tali and he was really useful with his Sniper and hacking.
However i did find the new combat system a bit annoying at first when i tried to run and he auto wen't to cover but i later got used to it and it was epic after that. The story was epic but i felt that it was finished a bit to quick. It feels like you could finish ME2 in less the 2 hours but then again thats why they added in the loyalty missions. Mass Effect 2 is the best game i ever played and the best thing about it is the replay value of it.
So here we are at Mass Effect 3. Been playing it the last month and i soon going to finish my third save. So the characters is still epic and the story is too. The combat system is still cool and i liked the new mod system also. So what could go wrong? Well for me i would say that the only thing that wen't wrong was that it was force to end the game. I had no problem with the ending as i already decided to go for the destroy ending since Mass effect 1. I can see why people got annoyed but i think it's wrong to just say it sucks because the last 15 min was not how you expected it. Over all i loved Mass Effect 3 and it shows as i'm still playing it, the same way, on my third save. I love when you first meet Legion and Tali and it's annoying me that they are so far in the game. Also i never cried as i did as when Legion died and when you was forced to say goodbye to Tali, i don't think an punch in the wall will ever make me an man again.
So i this is what i think of Mass Effect. If they ever does an ME4 then they should really let you import you're Shepard if he survived ME3, maybe brining an "what happen after" with, for me, Shepard came back to Tali and they built that house on Rannoch and lived their happy in their life again, knowing the Reapers will never come back but mostly because Shepard made it out Alive. It would also be cool to know that happen to the rest of the crew after ME3. It would also be cool if you could play as you're Shepard for sometime as an Bonus in the next Mass Effect.

Glad I followed his advice.

Mods don't typically like that. They'll probably lock the thread, ban you, or both.
