2) Why was the extended cut uncompressed, occupying more space than what was necessary (to the point of obscenity)

[/quote]

no offence but you really make a fool of yourself here... just use the damn "me explorer" and it will show you the compression ratio.. or extract the dlc file and look for yourself.

stop talking bull****, really

Were they compressed? Yes. To make the bare bones actually fit Could they have been compressed more? Hell yes. Could less space have been wasted as stated above in the ending slides? Also yes. They wasted space.

You backtracked, how sad.

When shown dirrect evidence to the contrary I'm not going to bludgeon my head against the wall. But as I've already seen myself through the efforts of a friend of mine, lets just call him J for now, who's a major of computer science he was able to compress those files down to 1.4 or 1.3 gigs. I can't recall at the moment.

Figured it was uncompressed at 1.85

Still doesn't change the fact that they could have done. MORE.

@ID1449

Yes they could have, but than again leviathan data was also included, so they gave an EC plus layed the ground work for future dlc to be placed there.

Is it even going to matter???

If all they're adding is a few more lines of the catalyst telling us that

*(SPOILERS STOP READING IF YOU WANT TO AVOID)*

Harby is the first Reaper or that he was made by the Leviathan or whatever why does the Leviathan of Dis even matter???

And why would they even need to lay the groundwork here? Why not just add this crap when the DLC actually comes out since DLC adds entirely new things to existing games as is?

Becasue it seems you need to implement data in 2 stages, and intergrating it is easier to do when you have things set up to do so.

And I look forward to the dlc because I want more mass effect content, sorry you do not but you can find many others who share your sentiments elsewhere, and probably in this very thread as well.

Very likely.

But anyway lets cut this short because like I said this has veered way off topic.

At Pax they didn't allow any Retakers (as Identified by their Marauder Shield's T shirts) in, and they screened all the questions with crowd plants asking stupid bull**** like why Javik looks different to the Prothean statues on Ilos.

Everyone could tell it was fixxed by a mile away.

The people applauding Gamble were transparent on their training and timing.
Of course that was all staged, and Chris Priestly had a hard time keeping a straight face. Well, when Priestly is the only guy with his feet on the ground, things can't be serious.

When the Catalyst says "the Crucible changed me", does it just mean that the Crucible has given it new abilities, or has the Crucible affected its thought processes?

Waste of time. They'll only allow pre-screened questions by pre-screened plants. It's BioWare's new MO: quell dissent, lie about everything and honk your own horn at every turn.

The BioWare we once knew is dead, replaced with an empty shell plastered with a label certain to draw attention from consumers who think they know what said label represents. It's only a matter of time before the last employees who worked on the games that made BioWare famous are replaced with brown shirts.

It's a shame, but it seems to be the popular thing to do nowadays.

NO MASS EFFECT WILL NEVER DIE unless it is a prequel

You mean, despite the whole ending situation? Then I'd like to know what are those "exciting and awesome" plans BW has been talking about all this time that are going to make me "want to keep ME3 save files" and make me involved in future DLC or ME4. I am tired of flying in the darkness of BW "artistic vision" and PR secrets, to be honest...

This, pretty much.

I can't be the only one who's sick to death of BW's "Mushroom treatment" PR policy.

Anything Single Player DLC related would be good, will it have any influence on the ending? I'd like that...I'm wondering why I should "keep my ME3 save file"
