A Clash of Kings.
The other option is a TV remote... not much use by itself, where as that's a good book for hours of escapism during an unfortunate apocalypse.
Alright BSN, let's play a little game. Look to your left and right...

To my left: An Xbox 360 Controller
To my right: Fortune Magazine
The magazine. Maybe I'll be able to figure out how the apocalypse occurred.

Unfortunate that it was not A Storm of Swords in hardback. Hours of escapism and heavy as a brick for when you need to throw a brick at someone.Spatia wrote...

An alarm clock or some game discs....hmmm, well if i choose the alarm clock, i might get the privilege of having the alarm go off as i smash zombie heads to kingdom come. On the other hand, if i choose the game discs, i could probably slice my way through.....till i run out of discs lol. Wait, this is a zombie apocalyspe though, right?.....RIGHT!? lol

Left - Pillow
Right - Barbell w/weights
No way I'm carrying that heavy barbell around everywhere with me, unless I remove the weights and then I can fight like Donatello, but on the plus side that pillow could suffocate the enemy.

The closest? My keyboard and mouse. I would go with the keyboard since there is more of it to break ineffectively on my attacker or what I am attacking.
You made me think. If I could pick something within in arms reach it would be my dumbells. Hey when you play Counter Strike as badly as I do it give you a lot of free time between rounds.
the 5 and 10 lbs weights on it would work well as brass knuckles in my hand. Not to mention the clasps or bar.
