Missions objectives should be quicker with less people. Hacking already is, I would like to see the switch objectives as well.

The hud looks better that way EXCEPT for the junk on the left hand side. Blocks up too much screen space.
Like I said, BioWare could make each feature an independent optional in the menu, so you can have all, none, or a nice mix. Plus, I made this in MS Paint, so it looks pretty craptasic. Actually, the drone looks quite nice, if I do say so myself

Hack gear - At lvl 5 reduces hack/device objectives by 30%
That 3 seconds can be a life saver on devices and 21 seconds for hack.
Of course you'd be forgoing shields/weapon damage or extra grenades to shave time off objectives that may not appear in a given mission, but I'd go for it.
I have an older thread with an objective-based idea for classes, which I will also add to the OP next time I'm on my computer.

Give Krogans proper regen, not this lame health bar stuff.
Actual health regen on krogans would be absolutely ridiculous, no matter how small the amount. It would effectively turn their health bars into additional shields by allowing the entire thing to regenerate. Krogan vanguards would NEVER die. That sounds pretty lame to me.

- Smaller turret/drone indicator - No numerical health percent, turns red at 50%, blinks at 25%
- Team Shield/Health indicators as one bar, follow teammates position (I'm having a hard time explaining this... think, of how if a teammate is on your screen now, you see their name over their character, the health bar would be there, instead of docked on the left side of your screen; if they weren't on your screen, their health indicators would give you the direction they're in based on its screen position) This way, you don't see their health going down and then think "OK, that person is *looking around*..... that direction".
- I came up with one suggestion for full-auto weapons, and since have see a few alternative solutions. I suggested a very short (something like .15 seconds) where the next shot will add a 10% multiplier, up to something like 300%, when used again shields and barriers. This would keep most full auto weapons around 100-150 damage IF they can sustain their fire past 30 shots, which most can't without mods. I feel that giving the anti-armor treatment (i.e. a flat +50 to all shots) would hugely benefit something like the Shuriken, with 1100 r.o.f, leaving most full auto weapons, which hover around 500 r.o.f, in the dust. Your idea is sort of the in between. I think mine stays more true to the lore, while also being somewhat unique (I guess everyone is partial to their own ideas, though). I must admit, however, that my idea would be by far the most difficult to implement.
Kinda got carried away there. Suffice it to say, this topic has my overall approval.

The objective based gear could be used for all objectives. They could call it a special intell package attachment. This attachment gives additional data for missions, similar to the Quarian Male, giving the user an advantage. A boost in hack times and a boost in damage on high value targets. They could even decrease the speed penalty for the fetching missions.

What i mean is the ability to look left and right while sprinting. Pcs users can look around while sprinting giving them a better idea as to WHERE theyre sprinting. I cant count the times ive ran into a hoard of enemies cause my camera was to sluggish to look left or right.1337haxwtg wrote...
You mean greater directional handling while sprinting on PC? If that is the case, got a video link for me to see it? If so, I will add it.Kain_Pure_evil wrote...
Very nice ideas for once. Most suggestions are nerfs/buffs. Might i add one thing thats been bothering me since day 1?
Add character control while sprinting. PC version has it, why not consoles? When im running it feels like im on a fkin train rail or something. All i can do, is slowly list of the left. I know some maneuvers xD!
On PC, I've not noticed the ability to sprint while looking around...everything other than a few skills seem to end sprint. An infiltrator can cloak or uncloak, but so far as I've seen, most things simply slow down to a walk.

I like the idea of having the armature come in. Perhaps they could add it in full-size as a miniboss for the objective wave instead of a heavy hitter?

That is not what I am suggesting at all. First, do it right, give them regen. Second, adjust shields/health accordingly. The only way what you are suggesting would happen is if they just slapped the regen on vorcha style and made no attempt to actually make it sensible.

These changes will never happen. It is
just aint in the profile of Ea/Bioware. There could be a new Mass Effect
Multiplayer only game, which they could release in a few years, but
that would be full of nonsense **** too
Except Eric Fagnan has already added balance changes that we, as a community, specifically took our time researching and experimenting with. They do listen to our suggestions.

Thanks! I was quite pleased with my quick MS Paint job, despite the scale and such being off. It was more or less to get the general idea across, not to say "make it look exactly like this."

I guess the only problem I see with that is that I only have one thumb on my right hand. It would be kind of hard to sprint while aiming. That is, unless they let us remap our keys...
when needed, switch to index or middle finger on A button - use thumb on thumbstick. i've done it rarely - but it works in a pinch. look too far one way or another though and it breaks your sprint.

I suppose that works. I just hate having to posture myself in unnatural ways to do things.

I wholeheartedly support most, if not all of the topic creator's ideas, especially since he suggests HUD changes be optional. Just like he said, they would be resized and smoothly implimented on the screen by Bioware, so as to not cause clutter, but give players the in-game info a lot of us want. And those who don't want, can leave Extra HUD Info off in the options. Win/Win!

How about they leave the HUD and stuff alone and solve the connection issues instead, so the game will become playable.

It saps the joy right out of playing with my friends when 80% of the time I cannot join two specific others and 50% of the time it takes 20 minutes or more to get four into a game together. The reload time when the game hangs at the join screen it ridiculous.
