My friend just bought Mass Effect 3. He installed Origin and activated the game no problems, but he tells me that it wants to download the 10gb and not install of the disk. I'm not sure what version he has, or even if there is a version that uses the internet as it's primary source.

Chances are though, when I go around there in a couple of days I'll be able to fix it for him and force it to install off the disk. (he has poor internet and would be waiting a week or more for that download)
But in the instance that I can't, I am gonna take my game. Hence my question is. If I take the game from my HDD (put it on my external drive) and then copy/paste it onto his drive, will his Origin accept the content? Or will it treat it as something foreign.
Also, I have the Collectors Edition, afaik he doesn't--should that matter?

And I got all the DLC (Extended cut and MP packs) will his Origin initialize 'my' content? or will it want to re-download it?
