This might be a hurrdurr moment for me, but I have to ask.

So I'm playing/hosting a silver match and we get past wave 10s objective.  Wave 11 starts and I see one of my supposed team mates standing there doing nothing while a banshee instakills her then she leaves.  One of the other 'team mates' follows soon after.  It immediatly pops into my head, ok they just wanted the credits and then died on purpose.

I always thought unless your whole team dies and is taken to the 'score card', that creds couldn't be had?  Is this how it is?  I've noticed it happening a lot lately.

If not, then I'm guessing I have terrible luck with my fellow squadies dc'ing :(

No, you're right. Unless your whole team dies you don't get the credits. If you leave the game, you lose out on the credits. I don't know what the **** they're doing, but if they're after credits it isn't working.

they could also have disconnected or had to get going (heard this before as odd as it is to do at such a late stage in a match)

You are right about the part on having to get to the score debrief screen in order to get the creds.

In this case,I don't think it is because your team mates wanted to skip extraction.

From what you are saying,it could be an issue of them either being forcefully disconnected from the match or a game crash.

The disconnect can either be due to extreme lag(between them and you) or due to some shenanigans on EA's part("connection to the game has been lost" message)

I do not know how the game crash(masseffect3.exe has stopped working) occurs but it is far less frequent cause than lag.

Edit:In hindsight, i think it is a problem with EA's side as in my experience, that causes the rest of the team other than the host to dc.If it were an issue of a certain player having high latency to the host, only that particular player(s) would have the possibility of lagging out.

Thanks guys. I thought that lag might be the case, but since it kept happening after the wave 10 objective, the whole 'credits' thing popped into my head.

Good to know :D

You get more credits if you make it all the way through anyway.
And unless all players purposefully die at the same time, then why would they bother waiting?
And yeah, gotta stay until the end of the match, or until the last person dies before any credits are handed out.
:P

Silly people, if that's the case.

But, for me, it's always getting d/ced, as you know XD
