In one of the future dragon age titles, Bioware should consider making main character a Dragon. This is Dragon Age, so it should be primary about Dragons after all.

How would this work -

You would have two forms - the *human* form and Dragon form, similary like Flemeth (or Dragons in many of the other medias).

At the character creation, you create your humanoid form, and in another window, you could see how it would change the look of your dragon (for instance Character Skin Color to Dragon Scale color, then maybe color of horns to affect color of claws, etc..).

Then there would be no class selection, instead the character would have multiple talent trees , where you can spend points(similar to Witcher 2). You could still have thief skills (and i would strongly suggests brining back some of the stealth gameplay from MotA) or magic and special attacks. But once you enter battle, your character would automatically turn to dragon - so you would be using magic, special attacks or abilities in Dragon form(like a Flaming Breath, Air Strike, Tail Swipe, Claw Cleave, etc... but even casting spells, just like a mage). Of course you would be mostly locked to the ground , with only *JUMP* like flying abilities for wings(except for story parts,w here you could obviously fly around).

There should still be a specialization for you however - Blood Magic is obviously one of the good options for this. But specializations should be earned through questing - EXAMPLE: If you had to pick between Templars and Blood Mages, and you pick Blood Mages they may teach you Blood Magic. If you side with templars you would get some Templar-like specialization.

Armor and clothing - this would be one of the best parts. Remember all those chain-mail bikiny? Now it wouldn't be a problem to wear, since you aren't going to combat in them anyway. Still the armor should affect the dragon form as well - so you would have plates on back, or helm over a dragon head...

From the story point - you don't have to be a mega size dragon right away(maybe even "grow" as the story progresses), and to explain traveling on foot (from time to time) - it could be for hiding, as flying Dragon could attract unwanted attention to him/herself.

About the setting, i think Tevinter Imperium would fit best for this - as they once worshiped Dragons, and there could still be Dragon cults similar to one from Sacred Ashes.

Not if the enemies are too powerfull too, "like" a battle of gods. The World could be ravaged by powerfull beings, and our character could be one of them. Ravaging for power or Trying to bring peace can be up to the player. There is always a way to make things work. Don' t limit yourself with simple words like "overpowered". You can make them go away.

I m sorry, but i hope they wont do this. Simply because it would partly ruin the fun. I LOVED in DAO the different characters i could choose from (which i m really missing in DA2) And run around in a team. (also the little romances now and then) I'd prefer to get the classes back and than as DA3 the story of the fight between the Tevinter and the Qunari, where you can choose between mage (tevinter) or the Qun. (But there should be the option not to use blood magic and not to being an "evil" magister)

So you battle a thousand other 'gods'? I have a hard time imagining a game like that which would still be fun. Huzzah, your fancy Armageddon does no more damage than a peashooter. Conversely, if your Armageddon really does godlike damage, it would be even less fun if you can oneshot all enemies. Boss enemies tend to be fun if they are few and far between.

Not to mention, if there are numerous 'powerful beings ravaging the world', even if you win, there wouldn't be much left of the world.

There is always a way to make things work.

But not always a way without some contrived plot device.

Emphasis on the "like", what I meant was, if the enemies are strong as a Dragon. Then you wouldn't be overpowered. And when the game ends, there would be a limitless opportunity to change the world. As I said before there is always a way to make things work when all you are limited by is your imagination. I don' t intend to give every single detail of what I have in mind. Use your imagination. If you have a strong one, you can see it. It isn't likely that Bioware will do anything like that, because of the expenses and the effort needed to create a game like that, but if such things weren't any problem it could be awesome.

Of course it would suck, ,f they made you a Dragon and pit you against normal humans. But when the scale of the battle changes it isn' t a problem anymore. Imaination is the key here.
